I realize being able to articulate your decisions while in the midst of a game is really hard, but it's incredibly educational, and it's much more entertaining than just watching in silence. (White-ra gets so much respect from me for commentating his play in English. Thanks dood <3) You get a bit of the player's personality, you feel like they care about the viewers, aren't just playing and threw on the stream as an after-thought, and it keeps you engaged for an extended period of time. Music is meh. I like to hear the gamesounds, and if the music is quieter and not obnoxious I don't mind it, but on a lot of streams it's really annoying. I enjoy team games if and only if you can hear all players on the team talking, and they have funny personalities to begin with. The Root team games with day9 on the call the other night were hilarious.

- There's a few streams I won't watch simply due to the maturity level of the streamer. Won't name anyone since it's random flaming but it should be quite obvious. - Audience interaction is good, not necessarily in the "Let's take a question from the audience!" type of way. Showing their thought process when they're going through a game like Trump or Tyler going over replays and explaining stuff is both interesting and helpful. - Something like qxc's humanizes the pro, but it gets annoying after a while. - Quality doesn't matter much unless it's horrendous. If given the option, I tend to go for 360 because it's the lowest that's clear enough to see everything well but it saves on bandwidth and is less choppy. - Level of play is secondary since the people I'd watch are pros which are all vastly better than me. Whether I'm watching MC or a lower-tier pro, there's entertainment and ideas to be had.

I think most people are skipping over that as they read and just see it as BM/bad language. That being said, I made sure to say I really disliked it.

I've never heard anyone being racist against their opponents on a stream, especially considering 99% of the time they don't even know what race he is.

Watchable video with reasonable audio. This means 480p, 540p or better at maybe 600kbps or above, and probably 80kbps audio. Swap to mono; no one will hear a difference. Check your stream full screens correctly - if it letterboxes your aspect ratio if off in a setting somewhere. Regular action. Ladder is good but pretty much anything that's competitive 1v1. Long pauses or too much looking at a replay is boring. Commentary and analysis are a big bonus but I can understand people who don't want to chat during a game. A bit of chat at the start or between games is really good. Personally being a gold leaguer I'm int too picky about the level of play. I get a lot out if watching Plat and above players, sometines more from a non masters player cos I can spot mistakes!

The other streams I enjoy are white-ra because he is simply awsome and FXOSheth because of his manner and mad skill. Skill > entertainment IMO. The thing that I prefer with white-ra and Sheth over Idra is that they actually speak while they're playing. I also speak Russian, so when white-ra is commentating in Russian I can still understand him. I find it beneficial to hear the player explain why they're doing what they're doing because it helps me understand the decision and it helps to improve my decision making in game. While I enjoy Idra's stream, I will usually just watch the vod's since his chat is full of trolls and the lack of talking on stream means he isn't going to interact with anybody so it doesn't matter when I watch it. I'll watch guys like Sheth and desrow when they're live because there is that interaction with the viewers. And if the streamer talks on stream, it's easier to find out about their personality.

Yeah that's pretty much what I thought. I didn't really like that question tbh - it lumped 'racism' in with profanities which I find a bit silly. (and made it difficult to choose an answer) I have no problem with someone saying "FUCKING DT'S!" if they lose to dark templar, but I'm not exactly cool with racism.

IdrA - Although IdrA never talks or communicates much, watching his style of play is very compelling. It's very rewarding watching such crazy skills from the perspective of the gamer. Destiny - High level of play with hilarious commentary though not that much interaction with viewers. He also plays in high graphics which makes it better visually to watch (both destiny/sheth play on low graphics) Sheth - His stream has great communication with his viewers. It's awesome asking someone like Sheth a question about starcraft.

QXC's stream was hilarious! He took in all the obnoxious retardism of stream spammers and turned it into pure comedy. I have no idea how he could multitask between SC2 and chat so easily. ![]() For certain streamers, parts of the graph would be larger. Ex. Skill would be like 65% on IdrAs stream but all the other sections can overall still make the stream even better.
