Good start

With an economical crisis soon approaching, starting his college education seems like a no brainer.

Yes because Idra has in fact psionic powers that allow him to see the future ^^

Nice interview. They do repeat themselves a little but I don't mind.

It's very nice to see his whole opinions not just some random cut-out BM. I agree with him when he says that the way pro gamers act is kinda boring. You can say more than a gg and still be polite

Idra for sure is an amazing player and of course adds color to the esport scen. THough he will always be an arrogant and cocky whiner who just should learn to think before he speaks.

Just because something is true does not mean you have to say it, and when you so many times have talked trash that later on turned out to be not true its just starting to be embarassing.

But as always, there just has to be a bad guy or enemy if you call it that. People need that dark side to either love or hate!

Nice interview. I find i kind of silly that he calls out HD/Husky for uploading the games where he BMs, when he definitely knows that a lot of the attention surrounding him is because of his BM. He uses it to stick out from the crowd - he's not just being frank. Take for instance the interview he did with Kingston HyperX where he out of nowhere in the last paragraph called out the players on ROOT for being terrible. He knows it sparks controversy and in turn gives him attention, more fans and in the end more revenue.

The interview was done 6 or 7 months ago, kind of annoying to see it posted just now

Yeah, it's pretty weird how they would let such an outdated interview get published.

I'd just like to add that, firstly Idra is an amazing player. If this game was completely figured out (which it never will be) he would undoubtedly by one of the very best in the world. His bm doesn't really affect his games, but his negative attitude does. I'm sure some great philosopher has said something like this, if not then I'm claiming it now. There is no progress without the belief that there can be progress.

Idra has a history of complaining about other races being overpowered, and maybe they are, but believing that it is impossible to win against players of equal skill if they play that race makes it so difficult to find new strategies to beat them. Fruitdealer is a good example, at a time where nobody believed that it was possible to beat a good Terran as Zerg he found a style that worked. Personally I feel this attitude is what holds back development of strategies for all races when they are losing more, it just happens that right now and for some time, Zergs have been seen as the least powerful.

I'm assuming you missed the part where Fruitdealer was whining about the state of his race, just like Idra always does?

It's a good example of how balance whine does not equate to someone not trying. NesTea, the other Zerg GSL champ, is on the same boat.

Hmm I don't think it is strange that Husky and others focus on his rage because it is a part of the way Idra plays starcraft. His bad attitude loses games for him as it did already when he played Brood War.

Nice interview, interesting part about how Idra think about korean gamers personalities, or rather abscence of them.
