- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I was a bit uneasy because I lost so much in practice. I was able to advance with relative ease so I am a bit shocked.

- Your use of zerglings was showcased.
I like zerglings better than roaches. Usually, I use a lot of zerglings.

- You said before you regretted choosing zerg as your race?
That regret is going away now. I think it’s doable.

- Did you plan to win in the early parts of the games?
In the 1st set, I planned to macro. On Tal’Darim I went 6 pool because I couldn’t find a good solution for that map.

- What did you have in mind for the 3rd set?
I was thinking if I played like the 1st set, I could win. If I lost the 1st set, I thought I would lose, so I practiced the hardest for the 1st set.

- Do you still enjoy WC3 now?
If there are some small tournaments for afreeca or something I could participate and earn some money.

- Isn’t it hard to keep up with both games?
When I have time, I play (WC3) to warm up my hands. As long as you have good game sense, you don’t have to play WC3 that much to keep up your skills so I don’t worry about that too much.

- How long will you keep that up?
As long as there are tournaments, that’s what I will be doing.

- Your reason for moving back with a Korean team?
WC3 scene is largely slowing down, and SC2 is just starting to get big. I was playing SC2 just for fun originally, but after a while I decided to ditch WC3 for it. In the beginning, I was playing alone at my house, but I reached a ceiling (on my skill) so I decided I needed to move in to a teamhouse.

- Who do you want to face in the next round?
My ZvT isn’t so good so I wanted to face a zerg. But recently, I’ve heard that YuGiOh is playing really well, so I want to face August instead.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank Jung Bae Young, Cho hwe young, and MVP’s coach and teammates for coming to cheer me on. I also want to thank SlayerS’s Frozen and Alicia, MVP’s Hwangsin, Genius, Tails, GuineaPig, and Vampire for helping me practice. I especially want to thank the coach’s mother for taking care of our team meals.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
It feels good. I heard that my opponent was looking down on my skill, so I am happy I won. I tried to thoroughly prepare by analyzing my opponent’s style.

- Your first game went well for you.
Until my opponent typed GG, I didn’t think I had won. I was lucky to snipe 2 of his siege tanks and win through that.

- You did the gas steal in both games.
I am able to do a bit of damage with that and I am able to see my opponent’s main for a while so it’s something I do often.

- How did you prepare for your games?
After playing the 1st set, I was a bit surprised. He did not use the strategy that I prepared against, but in the 2nd set, he did just that and I was able to take the win.

- Your next opponent is a zerg.
My ZvT and ZvP has been called weak by many other players, but I don’t think even Nestea can ignore my ZvZ skills. I feel like I can at least make it to the up and down matches.

- Did you watch MVPviOlet’s games?
He left an impression on me through his control when he got the probe even when there was a forcefield cast. But I am confident in my ZvZ against anyone.

- Any last words?
I analyzed my opponent a lot but didn’t get many chances to practice. I want to thank my coach and teammates for helping me develop my multitasking skills. I also want to thank Lots, sculp, GanZI, Milz, and Taeja for helping me practice.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I want to apologize to my fans. I think I was way too nervous. Because of my nerves I didn’t show my best form but I hope the fans enjoyed the close games. Similar to BoxeR’s games.

- You started by losing the 1st set.
In my 100 games of practice, 70 of those were focused on Xel’Naga fortress. But in the first game my hand wasn’t very warmed up so I didn’t get to show what I practiced.

- When did you know you had won the 2nd set?
There are not many zergs recently who counter hellions perfectly, so I went roaches as a counter. Then I realized my opponent went siege mode first so I thought he would not overextend himself. But he came across the long rush distance so I was able to fend it off easily and play according to the scenario we came up with during practice. The terrans on my team are so good at medivac play that it can get just downright frustrating, so since I was used to that, I was able to play with confidence.

- In the 3rd set, you were able to sneak zerglings into his base.
To be honest I was just going to check his front door for his buildings, but then I saw the buildings swap. Then I thought, well, ‘things work out for whom it should work out.’

- You could have won easily but you faced a tough situation at the end.
I wanted to play a safe macro game. And I didn’t think he would pull scvs. My heart was beating pretty hard at the end.

- It is likely that your next opponent will be IMMvp.
I will start my preparation from scratch.

- Are you confident in that matchup?
I think it all depends on your mindset. I don’t want to be satisfied with just being in code A. If I want to be the best, he’s someone I will have to beat anyways. I will take him on with my newcomer’s ambition.

- Any last comments?
I thought anibox (**some broadcasting site?) would come and televise the code A games today, but they did not. I want to thank my family for always cheering me on. I want to thank Blue dot transportations (**not sure about this translation…), and to Lots, Special, Rain, Supernova, ON, Heart, and coach Cella for helping me practice and of course to Ga-yeon and the house keeper for taking care of the team.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I was a bit worried because I caught a cold a few days ago and didn’t have much time for practice. I am happy that I won.

- You were pretty dominant in the 1st game.
Because it may have affected my game, I didn’t take my cold medicine. I think I was able win because of that.

- In the 2nd set, there were some difficulties.
I thought, as long as I defended my front, I would basically be doing a lot of damage (economically) so I didn’t worry too much. Even if I wasn’t able to fend off perfectly, I had a planetary at the 3-o-clock position so I was never that worried about securing my win.

- Your thoughts on being relegated to code A?
I am here because I played poorly. I will try to show my fans great games in the future.

- Recently, many terrans have had difficulties in facing protoss. Did you have any problems in your preparation?
My teammate Seed told me that my opponent today favored using colossus often so it wasn’t so hard.

- Your next opponent said that he will be taking you on with his newcomer’s ambition.
You have to get to the round of 8 to get to the up and down matches, so I will prepare for the game as if my life was on the line.

- Are you planning to win code A?
More than winning this tournament, I am more focused on getting to the up and down matches. I like to keep things simple.

- Who do you think will be your biggest challenge?
In code S or A, all the players have great skill. I think everyone will be a tough opponent.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank Seed for helping me practice. I also practiced a lot with San. I hope both San and Nestea play well in their groups. I want to tell all the fans to be careful so they don’t catch the cold.
