Hello ,just a little question.
Situation: I have a quite big MMM ball with like 20 marines and 20 marauders + 8 medivacs
Let's say I load Up 2 medivacs and send them somewhere via shift to harass.
The problem is that those now separated medivacs are still in the same control group which is kinda annoying because when I forget about them and don't make a new control group and I decide to move with my original big MMM army somewhere and those two medivacs are of course coming with them (it happens to me quite often and it's a sad situation).
Is there any other way than creating a new control group? Can I click on those medivacs and delete them from the original group somehow? how do you deal with that problem?

You have to create a new control group.
Select the one they're in, hold shift, click the ones you want to get rid of, and re-hotkey.
Or you can load them up, fly them away, and just re-box the stuff that is left and re-hotkey.

If you just hit the control group key, shift+click the unwanted units out, then re-group using CTRL, not SHIFT.
|
shift click them -> ctrl+1(or whatever the hotkey you use is) immediately -> click them individually and group then immediately.
You get used to it. As a Zerg, I do that all the time esp. to control xelnaga towers with lings.

-Select your large control group. -Shift+click on the medivacs -Re-assign your large control group with what's left.

I just reset my control group w/ holding down shift control click on a marine/marauder/medivac; it doesn't take that long (about 2 seconds)

Alright ,thanks ,will improve my shift clicking
