Still, I don't find his games typically exciting or powerful. Long, sure. He can obviously macro and micro somewhat, and he can survive until late game against very good players to eventually win it out. However none of the games I've watched him play looked "easy", they were in a way all scrappy. Best of luck to him though. I love a fairy tale ending.

Artosis and Tasteless' predictions were not always right, and anyone familiar with the phrase "I think he's gonna GG soon"?; the result a lot of time turned out to be the opposite. Just because Artosis is a BW veteran doesn't make him more knowledgeable than the average gold or platinum player. Taseless is even worst. Any player that reaches the level of gold or platinum usually understand most of everything Starcraft 2 has to offer. So, don't underestimate your own opinion about the game as well as overestimate Artosis's knowledge. Whatever their thoughts are about today's game, San didn't seem that impressive today even though he won. I think a silver player would have the same thought. I wouldn't be throwing around such criticisms about Tastosis around here if I were you, especially considering the massive shitstorm and backlash that would come from the majority of TL against you. Seriously, is there any other casting duo that has a greater amount of casting synergy, humor, and analysis as Tasteless and Artosis? I seriously doubt it. Anyways, after watching San's games against sC, I can't help but think that San is playing SC2 as though it was BW while sC was playing a normal SC2 style. Whereas the majority of Protoss players would be satisfied to first tech to Colossi and try to build up a giant death ball, San instead opted to split up his army to gain map control and harass all over the place. Very few times did I see anything resembling a ball, and most of the time I was scared to see how small his main ball looked in comparison to sC's huge clump of marauders. San's main army just looked so tiny despite him oftentimes being over 100 food, probably because all his forces are scattered around the map and that he had a huge number of probes. Yet, his constant harassment kept wearing down sC until he was on the edge of economic death. Also, San's decision to build hidden expos all over the map in inconvenient locations also harkens back to BW logic. Because sC was satisfied with keeping his forces marching around together, it was difficult for him to engage all of San's expansions effectively without splitting up his army, which he was unwilling to do. San's whack-a-mole expansion style helped keep him in the game for much longer than expected, and it really exposed the weakness in the conventional SC2 players' tendency to keep everything marching around in the single-control-group death ball. I think San is possibly revolutionizing PvT to a more BW-esque macro style that favors harassment and smaller engagements over the often criticized death ball. He may be lacking in perfection, but at least he made it up with some of the most entertaining games in SC2 history, and perhaps other players like MC will take a few pages out of his play book and start playing a more refined SanZenith style.

He made a good job so far, as he finally hits the Ro4 I can't say the opposite. But yeah, MC is a tough one. It's gonna be a little bittersweet match, I really like the Kratos Protoss style, and at the same time I tend to root for the underdogs. Best wishes to both of 'em. By the way, I hope that July wins his series because a PvP finals would be ugly. Cheers.-

Hey look, an intelligent post in this thread. Kudos man. It's obvious that San intentionally plays in this fashion for a reason. It's like he wants every match to be an endurance test instead of a buildup to the theoretical endgame push.

On the other hand after seeing MC destroy in the last PvP, i think his run this season might be over. Ill still be rooting for him cause I like an underdog story, but I think MC will take it.
