She might be great for a stream in Vietnam, probaly. But the stream for Europe and America? no she is not. Can we start a petition so we can see actually how many who wants a new caster side by side to DoA? or a vote of some kind? we need to do something because this is a joke, i dont want GOMTv or the Starcraft community to loose viewers. Suggestions? start threads in a rational way, not a hating/trolling fashion and explain why we dont want Kelly to be voice of code A. | ||

She's not sure what to say and when she does.. its about 3% informative and 97% useless + not understood. I used to tell the haters that she was doing a good job and she's just trying to be helpful. Not so sure how helpful she is anymore. I don't blame GomTV because they probably don't have many english-speaking staff members there that know how bad accents can be. | ||

It doesn't really matter that she's a girl, or what ethnicity she is, her qualifications, your personal xenophobic tendencies...nope, not important. What's important: She does her job. You can't have a commentator in the world cup that is heard 60% of the time (and that drops to 25% in tense situations). You need to be heard 99.9% of the time, because people are paying to hear you talk. It is also rather uncharacteristic of TL to be handing out so many warnings and bans for honest, but harsh criticism. This kind of censorship just doesn't happen in sports, period. I mean if she is causing you to mute the speakers, then fair enough, you find her that horrible, and is on tangent. We gave her a fair go, we didn't talk about her looks or anything...just because you're a somewhat vulnerable young Asian girl does not warrant a her flame shield. She's a working professional in a high-profile role. She needs to go, she needs to go. So many white knights here too. | ||

Facts: -She screeches and gets completely incomprehensible whenever she's excited (don't argue, you know its true, when there's over 10 mutas, or 20 banelings or something) -Her accent is unpleasant, personally, i find a british, italian, spanish, german, even RUSSIAN accent tolerable, her hardcore singlish accent is just atrocious. I'm not being racist, i'm chinese, many of my friends are from singapore, its just that the pronunciation and syllable emhpasis is just grating and terrible. -Her analysis ISN'T that good, really. this is supposedly the one thing that she makes up for everything with, but fact is, her analysis is mediocre at best, and is consisted of making wrong statements, giving play by play re-iterations, and telling us how many units are on the map. to be honest, if i had nothing better to do, i'd go to korea and show her how its done. Iunno guys, to be honest, there's always gonna be the white knights, (especially here) valiantly charging forward to defend their precious perfect asian waifu, but you can't objectively tell us that she's a good caster. Look at Doa, what is this, his 3rd cast? and he's already miles ahead of kelly. Go to singapore, do awesome in whatever you choose to, but please don't cast any more gsl. | ||

I can understand her fine. The only thing I'm missing from the commentators is that high level analysis that Tasteless and Artosis bring. They can predict what players are attempting and let you in on the bigger picture that's about to or is unfolding. Where as the Code A commentators are mainly reacting to what they see. | ||

True, but it has been debated to death in countless other posts in countless other threads in SC forums all over the place. No one is gonna change their mind through internet arguing. Heck, the first half of this thread had been much more productive compared to this internet argue-fest. We actually figured out the timeline confirming GOM's caster selection cycle, and we also figured out that Kelly was not fired, only that her casting trial period had ended. Now everyone is just rehashing the same arguments over and over again, only with different words, and consequently, the value of the thread has taken a nosedive. | ||
