I agree with this very good and thorough post. Also, on top of Kelly's many other weaknesses as a caster, it boggles my mind when she plainly ignores the other caster's commentary. People give her the benefit of doubt and assuming she's nice, but I don't think a nice person would do this rude behaviour.

My biggest gripe is that when there's some gamechanging epic struggle she raises heir voice and starts talking way to fast. It's hard to hear what shes shouting AND the pitch is way to high and shrill.

I can understand why all you white knights would defend KellyTitties' heavy singalish accent and to be fair I wish I could tolerate it, but the fact is I simply do not enjoy watching GSL when her overpoweringly unbearable voice rape my ears. I would like to be able to tolerate it but seeing how there are much better casters who could take her role at any time, in addition to the fact that I'm paying money for this service, I simply do not wish to hear her speak while I'm watching my favourite game- a feeling shared by countless other gomTV customers.
Also whenever an expo gets killed and she says "thats a loss of 350 minerals" I cannot help but facepalm. Counting all the opportunity costs and loss of mining time etc, losing a mining hatchery costs way more than 350 minerals Ms. Fuckslits.

Her heart was well and truly in the right place, but her standard was no where near that of what the GSL should and do set themselves. Her voice was (for me personally) very, very hard to bare whilst watching my favourite SC2 tourny. On top of this, her understanding of the Starcraft internal organs wasnt there (lol?).
But why all the hate? I dont get it, has the WoW crowd flocked to sc2 recently?
Her having a go isnt a bad thing and shes deffinitely better than a lot of the online casters. Just because she was well out of her depth at the GSL shouldnt mean she stops trying to cast totally. She doesnt deserve all the hostility.

I feel very sorry for her, because if I were in her position, this would hurt me very hard.
From my personal experience I can also point out that you get used to people you spent time with.

I find the community following GOMtv to be both very harsh, but very accurate.
Complaints are often registered very swiftly and harshly, but they tend to be on valid issues.
At first, Stream qualities and production values were criticized, but those criticisms diminished as the stream improved and the show got more solid.
Tasteless's observing was criticized a lot initially, and again the outrage waned as he improved.
Similarly criticism of the new observer was extremely harsh to begin with, but now you have people praising him as the skill in that area has increased 10 times over very quickly.
When Kelly came in, people were legitimately concerned and responded very harshly, probably again too harshly, but the assessment is still dead on. She's annoying to listen to. There's nothing sexist about that, you could put VTPeanut in there and I'd like to see how she does, but Kelly simply isn't comprehensible when she gets excited and she lacks charisma and chemistry.
I think is general the community isn't especially mean or immature...when it doesn't affect them... in other words you don't get people excessively flaming Husky or something just because they don't like him. But when a person you do not like is added to something you Do like, and if you do not speak up, that addition will become permanent....then the community speaks up quickly and viciously, and that's what happened here.

Seriously, look at older GOM-tournaments from Brood war. We had freaking Super Daniel Man and noone complained... Know why? Because we watched starcraft for the game and the casters were just a bonus, not the reason in itself...

As repeated by many others it seems like the only thing kellytitties white knight supporters can come up with is that everyone hates her because they're sexist (or racist). At what point in my OP was I sexist? Her alias is KellyMILKIES (meaning, Kelly TITS) and her tumblr is FUCKSLITS (meaning exactly what it sounds like), if anything she wants to garner attention because she's a female.
FYI she is just not good enough to be working for GSL because if she was, there would be a lot less negative feedback.

I'm glad we get to see someone replace Kelly. Her pronounciation of certain words were just too off, and that was really disturbing. Maybe she can get some voice coaching or English training or something before the casts the GSL again. But I must add that she was much, much better when casting with Erik (doa). The Kelly + Artosis combo wasn't too bad but the Tasteless + Kelly combo was horrible. It was really awkward and they had major problems connecting in their casts.

It's a different in community. To be blunt, no one really cared about BW. The people who did were the hardcorest of fans. With SC2 you have the millions of people who played WoW come over, combined with people like day9 and tastosis constantly telling them to tell their random non-gaming friends about the game. The people watching now don't know everything about the game and when it comes down to it can often be compaired to normal sports fans. What do you think would happen if the NFL or Nascar brought in Kelly? Even if it was for the lower leagues.

I'm pretty sure if GOM announceed tommorow some girl with a good voice and good game knowledge (female Tasteless I guess?) people would go nuts and a massive fanpage would pop up. Newsflash, Artosis and Tasteless aren't perfect either. They both miss things, and are hilariously biased. They are just way better than anyone else people have seen. Them being "perfect" doesn't have anything to do with Kelly's weaknesses.

Super Daniel Man i thought was fairly well liked, you can actually see a few VODs with him and Tasteless on GOM under the SC1 sections, they had a little talk show on there under the VODs
Also, historically, almost without fail...money loses few battles.
