I didn't enjoy her casting. It was just too hard for me to understand her pronunciation of certain things, which should be clear to the listener. I can't say that I don't like the person casting having an accent, I like accents, but the way she spoke bugged me. It's as if she learned English later on in her life. Correct me if I'm wrong about that. | ||

It's kind of silly for people on this thread to assume that random assholes on Team Liquid had anything to do with GOM decision. GOM decided to sign her for a 1 season contract for a reason. There's tons of casters out there that would give their left nut for that job, and they're doing their due diligence. She should be happy and proud to have even gotten the opportunity. Hopefully it opens some doors for her. | ||

Alright man... you can just say you didn't enjoy the way she pronounced things and that would have been enough to get the point across. That being said, saying that you will listen without mute on doesn't seem like it should be bannable... some people simply prefer to not hear certain casters and that's that. They voiced it without insulting her directly so... meh, I don't see why either but they probably have some guidelines. | ||

That being said a caster/commentator needs only a few key qualities, primarily a nice voice and knowledge. SuperDanialMan was equally annoying to listen to back in the old Gom days, but his his knowledge of the game and the players easily made up for it. TotalBiscuit is the complete opposite, he has a great voice, but not enough knowledge of the game. There are very few people with a lot of knowledge, a great voice and enough charisma to make you want to listen to them speak every day for several hours. In my mind the top dogs are Tasteless, Artosis and Day9. So lucky for us and GOMTV that they have 2 of the three best (in my opinion). | ||

Sorry for making constructive criticism, I know that's not allowed in the SC community. I have no problem understanding her, and I've defended her in that regard. I think she also does a decent job of actual commentation. My problem is her seeming laziness in pronunciation of words, as I described in my previous post. | ||
