That is rather surprising. Root is really "growing" up quite the impressive roster.

Good luck!

Root is fantastic

I don't know much about Destiny in general though.

Indeed. ROOT is still a badass clan...but adding someone like Destiny which can't even compare to the skills of the other players is just...
secret - never again

Haven't really been impressed by Destiny yet, but who knows.

I completely agree. He has a lot of fans, but so does Husky and neither are particularly great at playing the game. I don't really understand why a top team would recruit him without any accomplishments to his name. The only other player who was this unqualified and recruited by ROOT was Minigun and he was at least #1 on the ladder.

While Destiny may not be at the top of the ladder, CatZ's point that he has a lot of potential means more than people give it credit for. This is compounded by the fact that Steven can get really dedicated into becoming a player (versus having to worry about things such as coaching), and that he gets along really well with the ROOT squad. Team chemistry and a constructive practice environment can be just as, or perhaps even more, important than individual skill.

As much as I like watching Destiny's stream, I think I have now gone from ROOT fan #1 to maybe ROOT fan #10. Hopefully Destiny pulls a Mini and gets waaaaaaaay better after recruitment. This may knock a ROOT member out of NASL competition too. Catz/Drewbie/qxc/Mini/Slush or Ddoro was going to be the lineup I thought.

Gratz destiny! Congratz Root! : )
Team LiquidUnderneath it all they were really quite nice. They just got screwed up. Mostly by stuff that wasn't entirely their fault.

Raising questions about Destiny's abilities is fine, but comparing him to husky is harsh. A lot of his value as a team member is in his fanbase, but he built that fanbase by being good at sc2 as well as his entertainment value from being a dick to people. I don't know why exactly people are attracted to doucheyness, but whatever.

Destiny demolished Orb (not really an achievement, but remember that we invited Orb to one of the TL tournaments and he took a game from IdrA). At the very least, destiny is a good zerg who ladders alot.

the only one that destiny can replace is catz , in term of skill(catz isnt even in roster hes in management squad)

about "this may knock a ROOT member out of NASL competition too"Simply LOL , Kiwi/qxc/slush/mini/ddoro , there is no place for a mid lvl player

In the clan wars I've watched (GCPL/SCL) Catz has outperformed Ddoro as far as I can tell. Catz won the jtv invitational too. Maybe I just haven't watched Ddoro play that much? Oh yeah, I definitely missed Kiwi in that NASL lineup what is wrong with me. Kiwi/qxc/mini/Drewbie/??? may be their best shot.

Most of you people bashing destiny for his skill apparently hasn't been watching him too much lately. Sure, he's still a bit below the rest of their roster, but with the way he practices and analyzes the game, i think he has a great shot to be a really solid player.

Im happy for destiny. Lately he has really been practicing hard and i think with root behind him he can be a top zerg in no time.
