If someone new to SC2 comes and watches her casts and has the same troubles understanding her or her analysis, do you think they would give her--and the GSL / SC2 in general--the same amount of leeway that you, as a community member, are willing to give? Doubtful.

The fact is, the GSL casting selection should be based on the quality of casting. Given these and past casting, how could GomTV have made such a bad selection? Is it because she's female, and GomTV wanted to use this fact to appeal to certain demographics; did they want to emulate the Korean casters (who also have a female caster); was there no one else who applied for the position; etc...

I readily admit there were a lot of sexist comments about her on TL in the aftermath of her casts. BUT, the above concerns are in no way, shape, or form sexist. At all. The sad thing is to watch how so many good-intentioned people on this forum dismiss these concerns as sexist, nit-picky, whiny, whatever. Too much blind white-knighting, if you ask me.

2/3/4. Watch Set 3 and set 4 of Code A Day 2 (PvZ and ZvZ), Kelly easily held her own with Tasteless as far as analysis went and understood the Zerg matchups far better than Tasteless.

Obviously, there's much that can be improved, but I have no doubt that after she'll be improving a lot in the coming days of casting. I was extremely skeptical of the choice of Kelly as commentator too, but after listening to the 2nd day of Code A matches I was pleasantly surprised.
