The only one was Blizzcon really. MLG series was crazily NA based for obvious reasons, ESL/EPS was either EU based or NA based. Dreamhack was EU based and 'influenced' by koreans knocking out people. Nothing really has pitted the best EU players against the best NA ones to determine 'leading' foreigners in a serious, GOM-like environment - atm we are only saying 'naniwa v kiwikaki' or 'qxc v bratok' and 'dimaga v machine' in theoretical arguments and based on unrelated events. Tl;DR - It is hard to say who actually is performing well if you take the foreign scene as 1 entity. It would probably be fairer to invite 2 EU and 2 NA ones (assuming, perhaps crudely and wrongly, that SEA and SA have worse pro gamers) Yeah, so it wouldn't be perfect. MLG is mostly NA people and Dreamhack was mostly EU? Fine, just invite one person based on the results of each. I'd be fine if they first decided that there will be two from NA and two from EU or something like that. I'm just saying that I want a clear objective process. The results are not a perfect judge of who is actually better, but they're much better/fairer than someone watching two people play in two different games and guessing who would win if they played against each other (especially when those guesses will always be influenced by being a fan of someone).

From EU, consider players such as: Dimaga, Sjow, White-Ra, Socke From NA, consider players such as: HuK, TT1, Painuser, Machine, Kiwikaki, drewbie (Tried to grab some of each race) These players have repeatedly given a good showing! Look around at who's winning tournaments! MLG, ESL, TL opens, etc! Ladder really isn't everything :\

Kiwikaki because we need more proxy-pylons in GSL InControl because it's going to be fun to see him going through a diet to enter the booth Naniwa to fight for Idra's spot as worst mannered foreigner.

If so, would it not be best to award the seeding to a player not residing in Korea who wouldn't have time / resources to be based on Korean soil and to give them a shot in a couple of tournaments?
