Demuslim won more money than Kiwikaki and Naniwa in sc2 and I don't see how he has proven less than the two of them.

Huk and Bratok (but perhaps he'll get one free seat because he won a major russian tourney ?).

From EU: SjoW, Whitera
From America: Kiwi, Fenix

Hello,

In GSL Feb, which will take in February, we plan to invite 4 notable foreign players who will be given seeds to be invited to play in Code A. Which players do you feel deserve such chance?
Discuss and name the players who will be worthy of receiving such seeds. Your discussion will provide valuable feedback for us and help to make more interesting GSL.

Also, for information concerning Code A preliminary and our team house, it is updated at www.gomtv.net

Thank You.

Hey John!

The best 2 players in Europe (I feel) are Socke (Protoss) and Demuslim (Terran).

Certainly I am sure that both are capable of playing at GSL Code A standards.

Other players might beat them every so often, and they may suffer some off spells but these guys have been top tier for a long long time now.

Demuslim might be going to Korea anyway with his new EG team membership, but Socke is 100% worthy of a shot at Korean glory, but would find it hard to make it there due to his small team (Alternate Gaming).

Just my thoughts, keep up the great work.

QXC for sure been winning like 4-7 yournaments in the last months and is the best NA terran (I think), however im not sure he can go.

Huk should be a lock!

WhiteRa but dont think he can go since he got married.

Just make sure not to just invite the most popular players but the best!

He was INVITED to one tournament right after release when he had played beta from the very beginning, and that's about it. Also he came third in that tourney, he didn't win.

i just HOPE that John and GOMtv are aware that many people who gets the most wishes maybe are not interested

fuck i mean i am HUGE Mondragon fanboy(like ridiculously) and i would do anything to see him play in GSL, but voting for him doesn't make any sense because he just started playing seriously again, and i have no idea if he would be interested, as Naz said, vote with your brain, and not as much with your heart

i really hope they pick the worthy and right people

I agree. I really hope the votes people give are merely to influence suggestions - not having any weight in the actual invites.

I mean, I love Tyler, but he has no interest in even going to Korea (or at least was saying so on his stream last night and in past interviews) so it is silly to put his name forwards. Same with voting for grubby, who is an amazing gamer...but at sc2? right now?

People picking their favorite players =/= players that are capable of living in korea and winning GOM.

Think people!

But still, getting a feel for who are the most popular and able players via polling fans is a great move by GOM - it makes me so excited - but I just hope they guys chosen are 'worthy' and ready to represent the foreign scene

The original rules said something along the lines of "those who had done well in foreign tournaments". I'd rather it be as objective as possible, rather than people on internet forums (or people at Gom, or anyone else) picking random people they happen to be fans of or like the style of. I'd just see who won the most money in foreign tournaments over the last 2-3 months, and invite them in that order. Dreamhack was by far the biggest tournament, so if you wont that you should get an invite, etc. Getting an invite shouldn't be about getting popular. It should be about actually performing well.

He won the Homestory Cup beating BRAT_OK in the final 3-0.

Got 2. in the Alien Invasion Invitational Cup.

Won Thermaltake StarCraft 2 Cup.

Its not the best results but saying he havent proven himself is stupid.

Morrow (Z)
Huk (P)
Sjow (T)

these i think would be the easiest top players to invite
Huk is already in korea and is friend with jinro who is also swedish like morrow and sjow so they could all probebly help each other with sleeping place etc.

Whilst I agree with you, I dont think there have been enough "global" foreign tournaments (without korea but including NA, EU, SEA, SA). The only one was Blizzcon really.

MLG series was crazily NA based for obvious reasons, ESL/EPS was either EU based or NA based. Dreamhack was EU based and 'influenced' by koreans knocking out people.

Nothing really has pitted the best EU players against the best NA ones to determine 'leading' foreigners in a serious, GOM-like environment - atm we are only saying 'naniwa v kiwikaki' or 'qxc v bratok' and 'dimaga v machine' in theoretical arguments and based on unrelated events.

Tl;DR - It is hard to say who actually is performing well if you take the foreign scene as 1 entity. It would probably be fairer to invite 2 EU and 2 NA ones (assuming, perhaps crudely and wrongly, that SEA and SA have worse pro gamers)

I think Huk should get a for sure invite. He has already proven himself in NA and he already made the commitment to move to South Korea. Also Huk is now in top 10 on ladder over in korea? I think he was 1 match away from behing in season 3 GSL. Also Incontrol should get a shot, if he is still in South Korea.

yeah, especially before suggesting naniwa who only won some Zotac cups. Why the double standards mappiechampion?
