also have you looked into any of those brain computer interfaces? from what I understand they have some basic ones available for public purchase... I'm not really sure how usefsul they are or if they even work but I did a paper on them in college a couple years back. I know one they had out was called the nia or something.... it might just be some gimmick though... anyways man one more time, you rock hahaha.

On Topic, grats mate! im not sure if he would "easily be able to get c-/c" while only being able to hit 1 slow hotkey at a time as a quadraplegic. This is not a, which is better blah blah argument or elitism. Iccup requires a lot more button hitting...which for the OP is going to be very demanding. and to consider that someone is able to hit A- on iccup with essentially 1 finger on their left hand is insulting to how competitive and difficult iccup truly is. oh, and please no more "SC2 is so easy a quad can play it" If he were qualifying for the GSL then maybe you could say that. There's a video of a blind guy playing Brood War, does that mean BW is easy? to the OP, great job man and continue to not let your condition stop you from doing things you like.

There's a video of a blind guy playing Brood War, does that mean BW is easy? The blind guy was playing a blindfolded boxer. The blind guy lost as boxer simply lifted off his CC after removing his blindfold when lings were in his base. What the blind guy did was very impressive, but that is not to say that any blind guy can actually play the game. Op however actually executed a midgame buildorder seemingly quite smoothly. This would simply not be possible in bw. This is not to take anything away from OP. He obviously practised playing like that a lot and it's awesome to see that he is not just giving up. He is a trooper of life! But it also does a great job putting the whole bw skill vs sc2 skill into perspective. I've essentially said the same thing twice in this thread, but I just didn't like the boxer vs blind guy argument. ![]()

Allthough its not the best comparison but this video reminded me a bit of myself when I broke my hand and still tried to fit an n64 controller into it to play Zelda for the first time since Snes. It was such a pain but well worth it! See you on ladder ![]()

I develop a lot of interface technology for people with physical disability, and I'd love to talk to you sometime about how you're mastering starcraft - and seriously, more than any rank, this is a kind of mastery over yourself that I can hardly fathom. Exciting, inspiring, and promising! Do you know of anyone else who has achieved your level in SC despite their paralysis?

The idea that a quadriplegic is more superb at Starcraft 2 than a vast majority of players around the world is perhaps more than just anecdotal proof that Starcraft 2 calls for more than just speed or reaction, but more thought and strategy than some are lead to believe. Congratulations, you sir have perhaps reminded me the essence of Starcraft 2.

Oh my god. Is it expected to be permanent? If it is, honestly I don't think I could deal, but you obviously aren't letting anything stop you. Props man. Seriously, huge respect. You do better than a lot of other diamond terrans =P Edit: I watched your other youtube videos and the one titled "jacob, my story" literally moved me to tears. I'm studying music at college on top of being a runner and a competitive gamer. Literally everything I love revolves around my hands, and my legs in the case of running. I was impressed before, but this all just hit me at once and I really felt the need to express how much I envy your strength in everything. P.S. So many people would watch your stream, you should totally do it =D

I'm a little confused though, how is this quadriplegia? Not being able to your use fingers is a HUGE disadvantage, but I thought quadriplegia would imply you have no control of your arms either. Anyway, great job, keep up the good work. edit: I'm still kind of wondering how you played WoW, haha. Like, WoW requires far more speed than SC2 to play well, due to the constant need for positioning and targeting.
