First it´s only 5 lines, you have to read from bottom to top (don´t understand why they haven´t fixed this) and secondly offensive gg is offensive gg. It doesn´t matter if the guy BM ed first. Being toxic too does not help and just makes the community more toxic. Something like "sure" would be much more fitting. Dropping GG first was always considered super BM.It´s like telling a sports Team "leave the field" when the opposite Team is ahead. Especially when the game is far from being over( don´t know if this was the case but it usually is). Why make him tilt even more? To rub salt in his wounds? To have fun? Im sorry if this is considered having fun then the people that drop an offenisve gg are not better than the player that drops some insults. | ||

I imagined that this was when the game was definitely over, like army dead and so on, and the other player had given up but replaced the usual "gg" with the rant. But I agree, if the other player is still trying to win, then it'd be BM to gg, even if you get some insults. Not clear from the screen which of the two cases this is. | ||

If your opponent starts ranting and throwing insults around all bets are off. If people can't show a modicum of self control when playing a damn game there's no reason to keep showing them a respect they obviously don't have for you. Besides people who still seriously consider "gay" an insult in this day and age deserve all the ridicule they get. | ||

It's not like the only option is to respond in kind. There is the option to remain calm and nice and just let the other guy be the BM one. If you start flinging BM back, then you're not much better. You're just two assholes being assholes to each other at that point. Which can be ok I guess, but it's not the only option. It's not a matter of showing respect to your opponent, it's a matter of proving to yourself that you are better than that. You show respect to yourself. Then it can be discussed whether "gg" in this case actually was BM or not, but I'd say that depends a lot on what was going in the game at the time. | ||

People just get really upset over talking back in this thread. When someone is being an unreasonable tool towards you you're not allowed to say anything back, (not even some harmless baiting! :p ) or you're just as bad as the frothing tool in their eyes. People got uptight over someone simply replying "gg" to some raging asshole a bit up thread. | ||
