Technically, when the game is over, sparking any after-game conversation can be received as offensive (exactly how you explained it). Most of the time, if the player simply messages you "gg" after a game where you said "gg" and immediately left before he could respond, his post-game "gg" is not intended to be bad-mannered though. Of course, you're in a mental state where you want to move on from your opponent, and him engaging in further conversation will just make you angry, which is why even typing "gg" to your opponent in the chat box after the game has ended can be seen as bad-mannered... because it's implied that both players understand the mindsets of being on the losing side. So basically, once the game is over, don't start up a chat with your opponent. If he chats first, then you can converse if you wish, but don't be more bad-mannered than him  | ||

I've stopped doing this as well, as most people start to rage hard after I whisper gg. I don't intend to be BM to them, but most people at my level (mid-plat) seem to tilt hard after a loss (queue the balance whine!). Usually, when I gg (or gg wp if it was a really good game), I give them a few seconds to respond before leaving, and sometimes even get into a good conversation while they clean up my base It's all in one's perspecive, I guess... | ||

I've had conversations after matches i won and lost that have turned into great strategy dialogues. I'm just gold league, maybe it gets more tense in higher leagues. | ||

If you effectively gg and insta-quit, this does not give your opponent time to reply with his own 'gg'. Some of these people will message you after the game instead, and it is intended to be friendly (in 99% of cases anyway). If this frustrates you, even though logically you know it should not, the simple fix is just to wait another 5 seconds before you quit the game after saying your 'gg wp' | ||

Yea, if someone GGs to me and then leaves before I can say anything, I will give em a gg after the game is over if I especially liked/respected their play. I rarely get someone who rages at me. I do not, however, gg after the game if they just ragequit. Well, maybe sometimes if they were an asshole in the game. Sometimes I can't help myself, but I know that is BM at least. | ||

(btw.: it was ZvZ and he did a 1 Base Baneling and I defended with Roaches and expanded @~22 or so...)btw.: I can hardly understand some of the badmanners, when they do it after getting cheesed. It's just a lame strategy and imho cheesers just don't deserve a league spot that good, by only playing 5 minute games and in addition to that they just ruin the game, because those cheesers are also one of the reason why there are less and less players (just my opinion) | ||

I do that if the typed gg so fast I couldn't type it in-game, _and_ I can find something to complement them on. Like "gg nice creep spread" or "gg you had such great drops I thought I was dead for a while there". Otherwise I just let it go. And yeah I sort of think it's BM to chat someone after the match, unless you have something nice to say about it. | ||

No sure, but what if that happens because you gg out and instatly leave the game, not giving your opponent enough time to reply and therefore when he replies 1-2 seconds later, you receive his message via chat? | ||

HE was not happy with our staying. In fact, he told us to get out 5 minutes in, "to save time". He spammed sarcastic remarks about how good we were in allcaps during the game.. I've recently been having trouble against Terran, as the opponent usually does a decent job at harrassing or throwing down some clutch EMPs, but I just played a BMing Terran who actually: 1. Made no ghosts after the 20 minute mark to counter my high templar 2. Let me harrass him (dark templar, warp prism, etc.) and he didn't even attempt at harrassing any of my bases 3. Stopped making vikings altogether (he went like 3 battlecruisers lol) despite me massing colossi (which he frequently saw) 4. Essentially went pure marine and marauder (with a few medivacs) and raged when my gateway/ storm/ dark templar/ colossi army rolled him I also was on the same number of bases or even up one or two bases more than my opponent... and I still get this: ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/wAClz.jpg) Love you ♥ | ||
