Signed up a while ago, and hooked up with several mentors...and it has helped my game tremendously. Besides making some great new friends whom are really nice and enjoyable to hang out with online, the practice games helped me instantly.
I went from silver to gold on a 9 game win streak right after my first mentoring session - then immediately started playing platinum players, and continue to do so - but unfortunately haven't improved quite enough...have about a 40/60 win ratio vs. platinums, so probably not gonna get promoted for a while, but still playing them - so quite a difference from silver in such a short time...and all thanks to this program and the awesome guys that gave me their time and helped me out
Thanks for a great idea, and great implementation!!

Glad to hear its working for you. I've gotten a lot of people that have told me their mentoring sessions have been successful and helped out. I'm hoping Blizzard stickies my thread at some point because its been dieing ever since I implemented the automated spreadsheet cuz now people don't have to post in the thread to join.

I saw a Plat player signed up as mentor and a Diamond player as noob. Interesting..
Btw, signed up as noob on EU server.

Is there any way to sort the spreadsheet by region? Clicking on the top of the Region column didn't do anything for me and as a SEA player it's kinda tough to scroll through 1000 listings to find the handful of other SEA players
Thanks, great work!

Great idea! I signed up as both.
I'm currently being matched up against 2000~ diamond players and not doing so well so if anyone out there is 2K+ and willing to help that'd be sweet.
anyone below 1500~ that wants a zerg mentor let me know

Go to the AANP Data tab, select View and click 'List View' from the drop down. This'll give you the ability to sort and search.

Signed up an mentor. I can at least chat with some people if they message me, or help them in a game.

mid-diamond player, signed up both as mentor and noob on sea and us servers.

Platinum player signed up as noob. WaWGiygaS.340

Platinum Protoss signed up as noob.
Kaffer.178
I need someone higher level to help teach me PvP and PvT. It's getting significantly harder the better people I play.

Silver signed up here.
Crackensan.268
Rank 8 in Silver but have hit a skill cap Vs. High ranked Silver and what I believe is low gold players. Trying to break into Gold and higher.

I'm a newbie/mentor actually I'm more looking for a practice partner in NA server. Nickname: Willy ID:323 I just entered diamond league but to me that really does not mean anything my level haven't changed much since I was placed in gold. Add me!
|
Signed up both my EU & NA accounts as a n00b
Nickname: SeGi ID: 192
Silver on EU, Gold on NA. Both my name and ID are the same on both servers! Looking forward to potentially improving my play!

I got me a student. :D
Turns out teaching isn't so easy, huh.
|
Just signed up as a noob, but I can always give advice to bronze-gold players. (Protoss)
Nickname: PerchiN ID: 679
Platinum on NA. Message me anytime!

I'm a 2800 diamond terran/zerg on US server. I'd possibly be willing to come help out. Add me makoplux.239 and send me a message.
|
I wish there was some kind of incentive for mentors or an easier way to find noobs to teach, I feel like just a little extra box or an about me could be nice
|
Same here, DarK 224 Pm me if u need help with Zerg.

Essentials:
Salivanth.254 Silver league (high, but probably going to fall now) Zerg, switching from Protoss (hence the imminent ratings tank) Noob SEA server
Basically, I'm looking for a mentor because, having played Protoss for over 150 games, I now want to switch to Zerg. I've watched a lot of pro games / Day9, and internalised the right mindset, but my macro is lacking, like any low league player, and there are plenty of things I don't know. I would like to learn Zerg since they fit my macro style a lot more than Toss (and Warpgates are annoying).
I also suck at ZvZ: have really no idea how to play it or what build(s) to use.
