For those of you guys who have been watching the BW pro scene, you might have heard of a show called MSL Break, where there is this really cute girl who gives highlights about results of pro tornaments, interview with the progamers, etc. Well what if we had a "GSL Break"? Would it be successful? Would it be a failure? Is it too early for now? Of course, if GSL Break was to happen, we need a good host like they did with MSL Break.

For those of you who don't know MSL Break, here is a video:
I am sensing that people do not know enough about kara ( knowing that they are singers is not enough). so ill post another link:
Oh yeah, seeing as TL is mostly english speaking foreigners, you guys need to know that nicole is american and here is the proof:
If you guys feel that someone else apart from kara should host GSL Break, then just post your opinions on who should

in fantasy? pjy or sullay.
Well it doesn't have to be kara, i just suggested Kara because Han Seung Yeon is a well-fit candidate and she is in Kara.

Its just a suggestion. If you feel that someone else apart from one of the kara members is worthy of hosting GSL Break, then just post who you think should.
I was wondering if we can actually suggest people who aren't in the poll.
@Moose: Tiffany would be great for the English speaking community because she can speak English fluently. I think Jessica can also speak English fluently too.

Nicole doesn't count -- Min actually plays vidyo games.
How do you know if Min actually plays video games? And Han Seung Yeon (despite hosting MSL Break) might not have played SC, i didn't hear her talk about her opinions on BW.

If you have anyone else in mind, then yes you can.

Twitter. She regularly brags about playing Black Ops. Anyway, HSY doesn't genuinely like games. If I remember correctly from an interview, she implied that she didn't like hosting MSL Break (she only mentioned it as a cable show, although most people agree it was MSL Break) because she only did it to increase KARA's popularity back in the day or something.

Hi fellow Kara fan. I don't want to see Kara hosting game shows though. That's below their status now. Only idols who can't get better jobs work as game show hosts.

it's funny because everyone here thinks everyone else is unfamiliar with the korean music scene when... YOU ALL KNOW DAMN WELL EXACTLY WHAT'S GOING ON.

WTF? Whats wrong with working as game show hosts?
This is the weirdest first post I've ever seen.
You registered to say that?
I don't see the problem with working as game show host. T.O.P is pretty much saying that kara is too good for GSL break (i.e kinda looking down on GSL Break). I don't see the logic in that and also its kinda offensive.

I'm not arguing that you're incorrect.
I'm saying that's a really weird thing to register on TL.net for. Unless you're ban dodging or something.
GomTV actually has a show called Star2night where a girl in skimpy clothing goes over recent games and conducts a phone interview. There's a campaign segment and even the doctor (guy in hoodie and lab coat) makes an appearance. It turns out you can graviton beam burrowed units! Unfortunately most of the episodes are limited to korean viewers. If you install their ActiveX bullshit and use IE you can view at least this one: http://ch.gomtv.com/419/27936/389182

This is a gaming site and I know everyone has a high opinion of esports. But game show host isn't a job that a female idol would desire. Only the most desperate idols would work as a game show host. Back in 2007-2008, Kara wasn't popular. That's why Han Seung Yeon took the job as host of MSL Break. It wasn't because she liked it, it was because she didn't get opportunities elsewhere.

Well im just a new guy who got took a glance at TL after googling something. Saw this thread and felt the urge to voice my opinion. I would have registered anyway regardless of this thread.

this post is 100% correct. i would love nicole to be the host but KARA is an A-list group now. A-listers don't do these kinds of programs unless they're in a new country (like they are currently doing in japan)
I voted for Nicole because her English in the one clip was quite good, meaning should could easily do a segment for both languages, and also do translations herself for both languages, I don't have much else to go on besides that.
Wow, Kara does SC stuff? I only knew about them cause my wife just got back from Japan and said they're like the biggest thing since the last time Korean pop groups got really popular there. (Korea gets really trendy in Japan like every 6 or 7 years).
They're known as "oshiri no kara", which doesn't translate literally very well, except maybe to "Ass Kara". If you've seen any of their videos or live performances you'd see why.
in other news, HSY, THAT.IS.ALL. but really, I couldn't care less. I like HSY the most out of all the KARA members, so I'm bias.
How do those photos of her make her a slut? Its just her and a boy (most likely her ex-boyfriend), nothing sexual going on, just taking a photo.
Also, this is old news and was cleared up a long ass time ago. There are other pictures from the set with other people in them, they were all JYP auditioners/trainees pre-debut, and they happened to go to that hotel for whatever reason. Also, it's not like having sex in high school is a rare thing, at least in the US. also, 2 posts above, search Kara- Mister (not suggesting you don't know), but I want to make it easy for everyone to find it, because no one should miss it. @Naftali- could be wrong but I was under the impression SNSD was still bigger in Japan. I'd take your wife's word for it though since she's actually been there. As for the original topic, I'd love to see something like this happen but its unlikely, both given the fact that GomTV isn't on television and because, as other people have stated, Kara is way too popular for this now. I think IU would be the most likely chance to do some short segment thing since she already does the voices, but if this were to happen it would probably be some generic hot lady with a nice voice.
wtf, please no Min. She cant speak proper english if you saw the youtube videos of her spreading about kpop.. I would say nicole, jessica, or tiffany, only proper english speakers that are well known idols
I think I would do a good job hosting, if you guys were looking for a new face (guy)..but if not then Park Gyuri, definitely a looker with a hint of naughty..or lil susiee woot
Well I'm not suprised that Han Seung Yeon got the most votes, seeing as she did MSL Break. But what I don't understand is HOW DID GYURI GET 2ND MOST VOTES? I'm having doubts about the kpop knowledge of TL members so i put in some more pictures to get a more accurate poll result.
well, this is pretty insignificant for foreign communities that doesn't speak korean or understand korean. . .
unless there's regular up to date subs, i know its quite entertaining for koreans but i really wished that we get some english program of the same sort wih Incontrol as the host

Well we have TL translaters so the subs won't be a problem. But it is possible for the show to be hosted in english if Nicole was to be the host (shes american).
I really think Nicole should do it, that would mean no endless hours of subbing (and no endless hours of waiting for the sub'ed versions to be released <3 ).
The point of this is a snappy news update, so it certainly won't help if we always see the episodes a week or two after they're released
BTW, does anyone remember those IntoTheMSL FPVOD's? I have a pack and the presenters are a guy and a girl. Most notably the NaDa FPVOD pack (just wondering what program they used to view replays in FP mode)

Nicole can speak english well (VOD of her english skills in the OP)
or otherwise, TL translaters can insert english subtitles.
