And of course there is nothing wrong with using adjectives, especially if adjectives are relevant-- nor does it mean that someone is an overt, evil racist-- I was just bringing attention to, as Nagano said, institutionalized racism which is much harder to discern and is often used unwittingly, and I admit I may have gotten a bit carried away. Again, apologizes for having gotten everyone off on a tangent, I need to learn when to keep stuff to myself, since this particular thread was not the most appropriate venue for my random academic-rage. | ||

Look, I understand you. As a minority I. Don't just know what you're talking about but experience it. But its the same everywhere else. White people will experience the same if they live in non white majority country too. They will no longer be "that guy", but "that white guy" just the same. Everyone thinks of themselves as the standard and won't notice it until they are the minority. If someone was in majority and still cognizant of this, i'd applaud them for their level of maturity. But I wouldn't expect a person living in their bubble to know what you are talking about due to their inexperience. And that's ok too. | ||
