I think the thread went wrong direction. Cool QQed before patch and after patch he says its "playable".
Thats it. Nothing more to discuss.

Personally I think the problem with Zerg is that you have to totally outplay the other guy just to have a chance... look at Cool's last game in the GSL. He had to play insane in that first game to win. Personally, I think if every Zerg player switched to either other race they would be a lot better personally.

Wrong. He def said its not balanced post patch either. I don't know where you have your infos from but the patch didn't address much anyways.. And thats what he said.

No; they have specifically said that they don't balance based on tournament results
Look, this is why blues never communicate anything meaningful, because apparently the masses don't understand anything that isn't a pundit.
He didn't mean tournament results are irrelevant to blizzard balancing process. The blue mean that tournament results, alone, are anecdotes, and require analysis within the broad scheme of things. Of course, applied to this, Cool winning GSL would have little impact on how blizzard balances.

I'd be willing to bet some cash that Cool leaves Zerg within 3 months. When he sees how much money being Zerg is costing him he will jump ship.

Blizzard shouldn't be bullied into making huge changes by Gamers threatening to switch races, no matter how good they are. If Cool switches i bet he regrets it when Zerg is the FOTM for most OP race in the future.. Which has been predicted by many pro gamers like Day[9] and Artosis..

The balance changes required atm is more than just "give +2 dmg to Roaches" or some small details.
I think it's fair to say that Zerg have to work more for their win - this isn't because of one specific aspect of Zerg, but more like the total design of Zerg, in union.
Obviously, as time goes on it's possible that those skill differences can become a real problem at very, very high levels (since there's only so much a human can do, and if one race can better utilize their actions, then they 'will be better'/'able to do more' at the top)

Wait till nada , boxer and the others join the terran fotm and see if theres gonna be anything else than tvt in any tournament
how many good zerg are still out there ? i can count 3-4 like cool - check - dimaga and idra and all of them consider either change race or give up at some point .

That is an opinion and one I don't share. Fixes to roaches and hydralisk will resolve a large part of the issues. Small nerfs to some Terran units will resolve almost all of the rest.

sad to lose to another good zerg

still out there? how many were there to begin with?

Whats actually sad to see is that if Idra makes a thread like that it would take about 5 minutes until the usual shitstorm
If someone else cries people agree...

What, seriously? I'm in disbelief with that stealth nerf. Marine/Raven/Banshee is the strongest TvP composition right now and they completely eliminate the one of two good units that don't get utterly raped by it. Why not just remove Zealots from the game, Blizzard. You know you want just TvT. Just quit beating around the bush and double Marauder dps too.

Cause it is idra. Another pro saying something carries a lot more weight. When idra whines it's expected and hard to take him serious. Lot to be said about how they phrase things and what exactly they calling imba. Idra just reminds you of the guy from http://www.pwned.nl/

wtf the are you talking about.
Lets see what Idra has "said" in the past
while terran is very strong it may be blown out of proportion by the fact that terran virtually always enters the mid game with a significant advantage. reaper and bunker rushes, zealot rushes as well, need to be significantly nerfed. i suspect roaches or neural parasite will still need to be buffed after that, but the early game changes should be made first and then evaluated."
LOL SO COMPLETELY WRONG AND BIASED.
Idra isn't the best mannered play, or the most proffesional, but hes very fair when it comes to analysis of the game after the fact and he isnt raging. In fact he supported a nerf to P back when he played P earlier in the beta.
