I'm pretty sure IdrA will see this kind of stuff coming. I looked at one of the replays and he really is kind of going all in with those ghosts. Sure, they were really effective, but prior to the ghost coming out, he had 1 marine. It was impressive, but there were definitely huge holes in the macro.
This is the kind of play that I think IdrA will be able to respond to well since he's going to be allowed his expo and get a strong economy by the time the first ghost shows up. I've got faith! IdrA to RO32.

Yeah... I don't think IdrA will be in any trouble. But I haven't watched the replays yet and I don't know any more about this guy than from what I have read in this thread.

Idra fanboys are forgetting two things.

One is that this guy also has time to further improve this build covering some issues that he had in those replays that OP posted
Two is that while Idra is getting prepared to counter this build he can go for something completly different.

What is my opinion on the outcome? No ideia! I think we should just wait and see.
Would be cool if Idra raged tough.

Nice scouting report. Idra should be able to take this one though. Idra has done better lately under pressure. I see Idra picking up the advantage by mid game for the win.

There was a thread a while back warning players not to "metagame" and prepare too specifically for a player. It's probably better just to prepare against "Terran" in general, but to be wary of any peculiar strategies a player uses.

It's probably a good idea to read their latest BOs on battlenet2.0, though.

Morrow is actually really good though....., Much better than the person IdrA is playing here for sure. But yeah, favourites are always too ...favored.

It definitely has hyped it 10x more for me ... and it's only the opening round =). If anyone wants to analyze TLO, Torch, and Artosis' opponent that'd be great as well!

Edit: Even just starting up a thread introducing the Korean opponent and finding some replays so the TL community can comment on them would be pretty cool and potentially helpful to our GSL heroes.

Idra will handle it fine as long as he doesn't get LT. Ghost play is really dumb if Idra knows it's coming. I doubt he can touch Idra in a long game so as always, if he gets out of early game in an ok situation, he'll win.

This is what I'm thinking. Idra himself has said that korean terrans suck on ladder. They are the cheesiest, most uorthodox players so you'd think Idra would've been able to repel the 5 rax reaper rush of Morrow's. Morrow hadn't even been working on his reaper micro for THAT long either.


koreans do play like that. they always do stuff like flying in factories into enemy bases, etc. thats the unorthodox idra is talking about. not some mass reaper build (which is very difficult to deal with fyi, and even morrow said is imba, so saying idra should have repelled it is ignorant.).
