Lol at people losing respect for people when they have a difference in opinion... yikes.

I don't know much about the argument but this sucks. You guys are going in circles and hurting the community with this raging bullshit.
"You stupid motherfucker" Really?...
Buzzkill. Hypekill. Fankill. Shit..

Forum drama is serious business.

iNcontroL is just addressing straw men at this point. Tyler never said not to post. He just said that if you're going to post, be a forum poster, not some guy in a suit. And Tyler never said that you should do that because he's on Team Liquid and its Team Liquid's website. He was saying that as a forum poster, he only wants people contributing on the forums. Which is completely valid.

Tyler was (in his own words) trying to to humiliate and ridicule Colbi in public though. 2 wrongs does not make a right but still..

DW taylor, I understand you .

Trying to be as reasonable as possible, and considering both perspectives... I think Geoff and IdrA approached that in a very level headed manner... and they made valid points. On the other hand it seemed Tyler was speaking far too much with emotion and bias.

We have tasteless ffs... please ask him a question!

Tyler's point is that you don't come to a forum, which is not an advertising forum, but a community, and act like an advertiser.
If the standard is that TeamLiquid is to NOT be a community forum, but instead be a forum for advertisers to spew their bullshit PR speak, then we need to get that memo out.
Geoff being a real jerk here. Totally agree with this. I'm glad that argument is finally over though

I'm embarrassed for TL right now. no way man tyler's awesome. hes just misunderstood. idra agrees with him and doesn't know it. geoff just likes to debate with high school debate tactics. I'm not speaking who is in the right and in the wrong. Just about the nature of their discussion.
i think these two have it DOWN

If colbi did what tyler is asking I feel like he would of received a negative reaction from the TL community

But the tournament sounds good! Liquid was invited, but chose not to participate.
is a completely appropriate answer to the question "No Liquid?." it's generic and neutral and does not put EG or Liquid in a bad light. I have no idea why Tyler took it so personally.
it seems his reaction is more due to disappointment that EG chose to maintain their decision that all games are to be played on NA server unless there's an agreement from both teams to play on a different server.

LOL "i didn't ask for these powers" oh man i love tasteless

Tyler is right tbf, in a ideal world. That's how things should be. Unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world and it's just unrealistic to expect people to be so transparent and have no agendas for themselves/their company. Which is a shame really that things have to be like that but i guess that's life.

Read the damn thread, hotbid states it isnt a team forum it is a community forum where community things are posted, this tournament is a community event like any other tournament and hence deserves a post, tylers upset about how colbi described the situation and colbi was caught between a rock and a hard place, as if he answered too detailed he would come across as been an ass attacking TL or he could do it the way he did it and be accused of hiding facts/been ambigous, it just depends on how people read the message and how they interpreted it, people took it in different ways hence tyler finding it offensive and others disagreeing.

Come on Machine and Tasteless, save this State of the Game.

EG members in this argument just seem to not realize that, like Tyler was trying to say, when you are not prepared to reveal full information the better move is often to just not comment. PR people do that ALL THE TIME. Knowing when to say nothing is just as important as putting the proper spin on things.

The irony is that SoTG has been so timid for the last couple of months, then we get this all in one show. Too much for the membrane.

How can Protoss know what EXACTLY what to do based off of what we can see from the time before speed is done, and the time hallucination is done (or the toss just 4-gates, which can be defended.)
Where's all the toss complaints?
As for scouting in ZvP though the drone walk through the zealot is an easy trick that I see very few zergs use.
What I believe is that the game will even it self out.
I'll put it this way....if zerg was as grossly underpowered as IdrA claims to be, PvZ would NOT be my worst matchup by far.
Funny thing happend when I switched from Terran to Protoss maps no longer mattered. When I was Terran I had maps down voted but when I changed race I really did not care. It could be warpgates it could be the observer. But mostly I think it is because I play Brotoss and dont think there is anything imbalanced in the Pvt PvZ and PvP match ups.
