BTW I have no idea what Husky's education is and his personal investment into his character. But I'd love to see him on a SOTG (video rules btw JP, good effort!) or NASL.tv! Oh damn all these commentators are going to PAX east! Go Penny Arcade! Bring in the stars!

Stop watching the show if you don't see a difference between serious discussion and joking. im not saying i think state of the game is super srs. maybe im just too high brow but i think a mixture of herpderp, shouting, and going on 5 times longer than needed to be really unfunny. last weeks show is the first one that ive ever not been impressed with

Sure Geoff and Tyler are fun and important to the show - and I like both of them - but when discussing patch notes they need to NOT make jokes and stick to an objective and serious discussion because sarcasm and their kind of fun is easily misquoted all the time on the internet. Arguing in a "grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" way like the bros did in the case of "Banshee vs Dark Templar" debate is kinda bad if you ask me, because both units are clearly meant for different roles and comparing a ranged flying unit to a melee ground unit is kinda like compairing apples to elephants.(*1) I am *never* able to tell when Tyler is being sarcastic, simply because his voice never ever changes. The only thing I can do then is guessing what he means, but I am still not sure and that is kinda bad in an environment where people tend to get emotional about tiny things. Even if I think they are making fun, both are blowing "Terran is imba"-trumpet constantly (EMP is soo strong, cloaked Banshees are so much better than DTs, ...) and that is kinda tiring me of the show because people who use these phrases (or talk in such a way) are not trying to be objective. Even if IdrA is on the show there is no one who talks about the problems of Terrans. Its not like Terrans have an easy day on the field when they play and an automatic win. The argument PainUser gave for the removal of the Khaydarin Amulet and the "sluggish acceptance" of this argument by at least Tyler shows some one-sidedness of their views. So IMO the show needs to make sure what kind of show it wants to be: either serious and objective on the serious topics(*2) or just the "fun trash talk corner" all around. In any case there needs to be a permanent Terran or a toning down of the one-sidedness or else the show is getting too "Terran-is-imbaish". Btw.: I dont *hate* either of them and using that word in the context of other people most of us dont know personally is nothing other than "putting fuel into the fire" of a potential flame war. "Hater" and "Troll" (or their verb-form) never ever help a discussion. (*1) Apples are imba, because they can be red and that is probably the most popular color in the world. /sarcasm off (*2) "Game balance" really is the only one that comes to mind here and patch notes and maps belong into this category.

Whatever, It's 4 am and both of us should be asleep JP! One minor criticism id like to add is that you need to learn who the fuck the top players are when your casting their games, M-adel for example IS adelscott and M stands for millenium his team(I believe you even mentioned the fact there is player called adelscott but for some reason said this guys name is M and his team is adel), the smallest of background checks would of confirmed his identity. Its least you can do considering your casting their games and without them you would have no material, give the credit to the actual players in future please.

Really? I have no trouble telling when Tyler is sarcastic, the content of what he's saying gives it away. And they're right, sort of, when they talk about banshees and EMP. They kind of are absurdly strong. Terran as a whole isn't overpowered, but a few individual abilities and units are so freaking strong by themselves that it's kind of ridiculous. But the podcast isn't serious anyway, they make some decent points and we all get to laugh. What's wrong with that?
