Loved the cast, as long as both video and audio are available I think it works great. Of course I will watch/listen to anything you guys do so I am not really the best critic.
I was glad you had Painuser back he is one of my favorite guests of the show because he does have opinions (actually talks) and is pretty articulate.
The banshee vs DTs debate not only was hilarious but it actually had some great information about the matchup as well.
thanks for all the work you all do to record and share this.

Beautiful podcast! The new video format really works. Just like Tyler said, it gives more than the pure audio podcast. Great work guys. Keep it up!
And Painuser was pretty awesome guest as well. He just has the right attitude. Even when everyone's against him his still just cool and calm and doesn't get upset no matter the provocation. And Tyler is awesome, even more so with video. Incontrol was a bit "behind" on this one but I guess that was mostly because he didn't have a cam, so that should be easily fixable.
JP, this vas very, very good.

Artosis is Beeker (but if we're keeping strictly to Sesame st, maybe Oscar?).
Inclosing, shut up haters, you suck.
Personally, I think Idra is probably one of the most unfunny people on this earth. I find him really snarky and snide, not funny at all. I guess I don't have a sense of humor though! All the other times I was laughing at Day and iNcontroL, I was wrong, you've just opened up new doors of my life with your fascinating insight.
You certainly have a (as in one) sense of humor... i can feel you do... Just try to open yourself to "other" senses...
I think PainUser is a great addition (yet another "type" of caster) and that IdrA is witty funny in a very complementary way to the original pillars..., variety of casters is a plus to a show. You take a variety of protos in every meal no?

JP, this vas very, very good. I agree that this was a very great episode. Painuser did really well and I would like him to return. I feel there were a lot more valuable discussions about the state of sc2 than the episodes of late. It would be good with a zerg player on I guess but day9 could fill that role if sotg continues to deliver meaningful discussions and topics for him to participate in. Despite I found the latest episodes hilarious, I feel there was a better balance between humor and serious discussion this time (as it were was in the early episodes).
On the negative note, the download of the mp3-file is very slow! I seriously prefer the audio file, but didn't mind the video parts; they provided meaningful discussions and didn't intrude on the ability to understand the discussion for me that only used the audio (during pervious episodes they posted those things in the livechat so that was obviously way worse than the ability to view it on blip later).
Very well done, sotg-participants!

Very good episode, I like PainUser.
Why wasn't there any discussion on NASL?

Btw, thanks JP for the quick turnaround on the iTunes issue.

I just donated $20.00. I think you all should too! I am so grateful that this podcast exists. I listen at work over and over.

Loved the webcam part, cant wait for incontrol to get one! :D
Painuser was also a great guest, one of my favorites for sure.
Also, DTs ARE better than banshees, PainUser is right! Maybe not in a straight fight, but they are more of a "game-ender" than banshees. They are also very easy to get late game, and need no micro. I felt like tyler and incontrol werent understanding PainUser correctly
Also, people need to realize that InControl is joking around alot of the time, being funny, "trolling" - which is arguably the best part of the show. Tired of hearing people acting like "aww my god he said something i dont agree with, better go crazy about it". People just dont get him sometimes, calling him unprofessional or whatever, just because he isnt super boring and politically correct. What a boring world it would be if everyone was.
Cant wait for the next episode, when you hopefully discuss IEM and the IdrA drama (or rumors of it anyways :D).

Hah, we got to see trolling in PERSON during the banshee/dt discussion. Regardless of my opinion the entire exchange was great. We've got to get you guys into a real studio with awesome sound bites and whacky jingles.

WoW looks like a giant 1-person rave.
|
Incontrol's whole thing is that he's good at being correct, but not so good at debating. I'd say Painuser won the debate in spite of holding an indefensible position.

The last show was great. Really enjoy the addition of cams etc.

I think it depends a lot on the situation. Sometimes Geoff has great arguments and is able to make me think twice about how I normally think. Other times, his arguments are based a little too much on the way he feels instead of a totally rationalized argument.
Sometimes this is totally flawed, and sometimes it tends to be attached to some sort of "tradition" of Starcraft, I think, and that's when his arguments get worse. I find it hard to fault him on this, because everyone has their own opinion of how the game should be played or designed.

<3 Painuser as a guest, if you were to get a Terran Pillar I'd say he's the guy! Also video format is great, I listened once and watched the video later and I feel like I didn't miss too much from audio only, but video just enhanced the experience.

I accidentally found out there is a ton of comments in this thread about me.
Are they talking about me on 'The View' of StarCraft 2 again?

Seconded! He's so chill and never gets worked up. Him making Tyler walk off this last episode made me laugh my ass off. If it counts at all, +1 vote for PainUser as the Terran Pillar. DTs suck, yo.

They were actually pretty complimentary, iirc.

synopsis: you are good for SC2 except sometimes it seems like your viewers care more for the caster, you, than the game, Starcraft 2

I heard the part where JP said I was nervous at MLG which made me laugh.
Other than that it was all valid criticisms. IdrA seems to think I scare people away more than I bring in which I dont agree with. Was glad to hear him be mature about it though rather than the 'he is a skilless idiot who just cares about money'.
