Just to say Morrow's ZvZ wasn't very good, he had to spend about 3 minutes heavily stressing how good he thought Morrow was and how it's a legitimate criticism.
The horrible thing is, he said the same thing 2 weeks ago minus the cushioning and this thread was full of people complaining about all the hate for Morrow. I wonder at the mentality of those people. I don't think he was cushioning as much as he was ridiculing the people taking offense.
I kind of felt like it was serious. He was making a visible effort this episode to try and dampen the inconTROLL image he has.

After the last few weeks i felt the show became more about "drama" and less about the game.
However this last show was excellent, there was enough humor there mainly provided by iNcontrol but it never went too far.
I really hope you guys keep THIS up, because this was excellent, two thumbs up!

Some of the trolling I enjoy, but sometimes it just gets overboard. So to strike a better balance between those is something I would support.

I agree, I liked it better, but I don't like that he can't make a perfectly reasonable criticism anymore without people losing their shit.

But now I think drama follows him around so much that people are just jumping on him for everything. There's a fine line with his personality. For instance, I think his Total Biscuit impersonation was hilarious, but then going and calling TB whiny and a terrible caster was overboard. It didn't help that JP was egging him on and feeding him false information which was pretty much "I heard that..." It's too bad because now he's on the complete opposite end of things. Hopefully he'll find a happy medium between funny guy while still being respectful.

This. Lighten up guys, it's all in good fun. Most of the Western SC2 players are either mates or indifferent, they have a dig at other players every now and then but it's light hearted and the players they troll just shake it off. You should too!

Well it was Idra who called him whiny, and Idra doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks. Did Inc call TB terrible though? I remember him saying his game knowledge is terrible.

Opinions differ I hear . Walk the lin Geoff, walk the line...
Anyway, I loved the video format - was excellent! Keep doing it! I had quite some hard time watching the fat-cat as it's just insanely funny and suits incontrols voice and all that jazz, just rofled off my chair..
Uhm, something I was considering when you talked about the balance patch, maybe it's an idea to actually go through them, understand them and prepare abit more, because all of you seemed to be pretty unaware of what was actually fact and not about them. First thoughts and speculation is good fun though, just saying that when it comes out totally wrong (like the fungal confusion) it's just pretty pointless. It is State of the Game so maybe it's important to dig into these things when discussing them.
Regardless, love you all, it's a great show and thanks a bunch! <3

Great show. I listen to the audio while I work (software developer). I ended up ripping the audio off the video because i could not wait for the mp3 to be uploaded. I'm sure these issues will get sorted out in the future. Also I know a bunch of people who pull it straight from itunes to their iphones.. they were pretty upset by the delay.
I think you spoil us JP.

Yes well, if you look at a player like Idra, he can relatively say anything and get away with it. People will laugh at his jokes, some will whine about it. On the other hand, if someone is a media person, caster, face of the NASL then he must pay attention to how he expresses himself and keep certain things to himself. There is nothing wrong about that. I think Geoff is doing a fine job of balancing his spokesperson / 'funny guy on vent' personalities.
Do you ever hear day9 say something bad about someone? No because he maintains a sense of professionalism. Do you think he is always like this, even behind the curtains? No. Just watch the Chill vs CombatEX casted by day.
Geoff did make a mistake when talking about low level players like that, but it wasn't too severe. I am a gold player and I admit I get beaten by bad players. Of course I don't put so much effort into starcraft because I have other things to do, but it doesn't change the fact that I am bad...
SotG hwaiting!

Ok the hosting is a real problem. It's actually going to stop me listening to SotG...and I have like not missed an episode before.
The video is all very well, but no offense guys, I don't want to sit there watching your pimply mugs for 3 hours. SotG is a PODCAST. I listen to it in the car usually. But the mp3 takes about 3 hours to download from the terribad blip server.
As for the video feed, if I want to rewind, or god help me reload the page for any reason, it takes 5-6 minutes to find where I was again due to the intermindable lag when reviewing files on blip. And downloading it takes months.
This change will be a disaster for your numbers - I'm bloody dedicated and I can't be bothered fighting to get to the content.

I'd always heard that incontrol looked like a bear. Looked much more like a cat toi me.

I hate to tell you, but video format is only going to help this "podcast" grow. Yes, blip.tv can be annoying, but it's serviceable. If you really hate it that much, it will still be in podcast format on iTunes, so there's no reason to hate.
What other video hosting website would you rather see it on? Youtube? They can't fit 2 1/2 hour show on there. Most other sites are worse than blip. It works well enough for plenty of people that watch the Day[9] Daily, and I'm sure tons of SOTG viewers dealt with it too. If you don't like the site, you'll have to download it one way or another. I've never had to wait more than 45 minutes even for a big video like ep29. Maybe it's your connection.

I personally liked the webcam thing, but 2-3 hour discussion shows are best suited to radio (read: Podcast)

And that's certainly still available, though at a slightly delayed time than before. The inconvenience is only minor when balanced against the entertainment gained by plenty of fans, myself included, that enjoyed the video format thoroughly. Yes, it would have been fine if they kept it the same way, but they decided to go in a new direction, and are still offering the old style as well.
It's win-win for everybody, as far as I'm concerned. The only losers in this equation are those who are going to complain about the change without thinking about both sides of the coin.

There's a sports radio show in Toronto I listen to quite often, it's simulcast on a sports tv channel up here with like an hour delay ("for those of you who do not own radios" the host would say). I can't say that I've ever watched the TV version. It's a nice option I guess, since itunes for smart phones and stuff is a somewhat different medium than the internet.

@Geoff comments on maps at 31 minutes. I want him to throw someone into the rafters if you lose dramatically. Call it "building the drama of Starcraft 2" =).

I do not understand why does Blib.Tv has such horrible horrible Download speeds I am downlading at 20kb something its gonna take 1h something for #29mp3 I dont care i like my SotG Collection COMPLETE.
Why does Blib.Tv has such horrible Download Rates is there too much traffic going on, do they have Limits on individual User Streams, or do they have 1 Shared download pool for all their Streams or what is the Problem. can someone explain this Blib.Tv is the worst if it comes to download times
