Once again , Great episode of an amazing show series!!
I cannot agree more on the topic of Husky and totalbiscuit, but please guys learn to discern HD from the rest of the noob/commercial casters.. HD is quite different , hes in masters for a start + he is a very nice guy, down to earth and fun to listen too..
Keep on going!

It was stated in the SotG that players are required to be on teams to play in NASL for accountability reasons. They don't want random players who may sleep in and be late for games or whatnot. But they also make players put up $250 for the exact same reason. For every offense a player commits they deduce the money until there's none left and the player gets kicked out of the league.
So my question is, if White-Ra were to put up the $250 anyway (thus proving his accountability) then why can't he play as well?

Because it's probably tied in with them doing a team league at a later date too.

that bit about ghosts was fucking hysterical

It seems like a high end team can either choose to field 5 or less players and not have more on the team in NASL or choose to have more star players and be able to participate in team leagues. NASL is putting them selves in conflict with any team that wants to be able to field for the team league format.
They've really put together a logistically terrible format.

i wouldnt see why duckload wouldnt be considered as a "team." doesnt whitera himself have a couple people that work with his website and stuff that are in his team as well? i remember a thread about it a while ago. team whitera or something
|
In the other thread they say white-RA can join as a team of one.

Xeris already said whitera meets the criteria. Why you guys still talking like he can't play?

Sc2 is NOT a team game, clans do NOT matter in 1v1 rts games other then getting support and better practice from the clan.
There is no reason to force people to be in a clan at all. Looks like you don't have a clue about professional rts then? Watch at the broodwar scene, starcraft CAN BE a tea game. I can understand both sides, Tylers and the NASL side. Maybe they have to revert or change those rules in the future, but in the current state, i tend to be on the NASL side.
Until they have some sort of pro level 2v2s, 3v3s, 4v4s etc, I wouldn't call SC2/BW a team game(aside from occasional showmatches). They play 1v1, They compete as an individual, not as a team. If Schumacher won an F1 race, Barichello haven't won shit, even though they're on the same team. I think the basketball logic is unapplicable to SC2 because they don't play 5v5, only 1v1. What makes you say it is a team game?
Edit: Just a question to someone knowledgable about english, is it a F1 race, or an F1 race. Because the sound in F1 is [ef won]

It's an F1 race.

While you make a good point it's interesting about your example, because obviously in F1 there's been examples of teammates letting each other win. Unlikely to happen here though. I don't see why teams are even mentioned or why it's relevant. The OSL/MSL has always had teamkills but they also have the group selection phase to allow players to have some sort of control over the final 16.

great show last night, so funny haha

The article is determined by the pronunciation, not the spelling, so yes, "an F"

The NASL guy compared SC2 to basketball, which makes no sense unless they're playing 4v4s. The reasoning behind the team rules is so flawed.

Obv Starcraft is sooooooooooooooo not a team game. Forget about proleague and winners league and the last 8-9 years of BW. Starcraft is most like competitive miniature golf imo.

Cause no one has any idea who to listen to. Let me give you an example.
Yesterday Xeris was saying something opposite of Geoff and Russell, I brought this up and iNcontrol replied with:
RUSSELL = owner dude o_Olol
So ok we should take Russell's word then, cool.
So later the same night after Russell said White Ra could not play Xeris goes and says Russell is wrong and what he says is the right stuff and Russell is wrong. Xeris also was SURE the games were being casted live, not via a one day delay which is now very apparent that it is not true.
Info is spread between multiple threads on TL, the g4tv interview, Incontrol's stream and SoTG an no one can get a straight answer on anything without one of the three saying the other is wrong.
So who oh who to listen to? Right now Xeris says everything he is saying is right, and I will take that but maybe those three need to sync up and figure out who is right because there is so many different stories even I am confused, and being I have known about this since inception and helped create it in the early stages, I should be the LAST person to be confused.
