I agree with you that the drunk cast is a pretty stupid idea (if its not a joke, i still think it kinda is) but on the other hand, i think it's a response to all the criticism from this thread. Incontrol overreacts to all the negative responses he gets on every cast, so if indeed this does happen I think their message is clear. it's just a podcast, if you don't like it, dont listen.
that said, i bought a bottle of zin yesterday

I don't care if they do a drunk cast. As long as they say somewhat insightful and funny things I'll enjoy the cast. If it devolves into terrible jokes, cursing each other out, and shouting/excessive laughing...meh...

Yes, exactly. I stopped watching Diggnation (and, from what I understand, Kevin stopped drinking) for precisely this reason.

If you already enjoy the podcast then you can just not listen to the drunk cast. The drunk cast won't have any lasting effect on the podcast, I promise! So you can keep listening to the rest of the SOTGs and be happy that the non-drunk casts are so great, and everyone else in the thread doesn't have to scroll through even more posts about how this one horrible and unprofessional episode will ruin the whole podcast forever.

Drunk casts = awesome idea !! I fully support it .

Why such a baby? I say let them do a drunk cast, I think it has potential to be hilarious! At the worst it will still be better than a lot of other podcasts out there, at best it will be epically hilarious!

Meh, holidays are coming up.
Makes sense that the cast would want to take a load a off.

Yeah, drunk cast is a great idea. I mean, the cast itself is kind of layed back and shows another side to pro gaming - in every manner. Even when the discussions are serious, it's still different.
As long as they're not shitfaced in a I-can't-speak-properly-except-for-words-involving-genitalia kind of way, I'm excited about it.

are there any more of these gems?

You guys should try and get Jinro on the show.
Besides making me very happy he could also give insights on his life in Korea and the TL/ OGS home, his bromance with MC, his overall epicness and performance in GSL. He could also shed some objective Terran light upon the normally *coloured Toss opinions on the show. Through years of TL moderation he's become like the most objective person I know.
*biased ^^
PS. Jinro is also a soju brand, so it has synergy with getting drunk

Probably not the best idea... Day9 - doesn't drink so he will be sober and pissed off Incontrol - probably costs this guy 20 hours of lessons to pay for enough booze to get drunk cuz he is technically the size of a bear <3 Nony - talking slower, in a more slurred fashion, and making even less sense? Wow awful JP - This is the mystery is how JP would act. I'm picturing a cowboy hat and some late night rodeo antics after the cast and even more overly happy then usual.
Good luck though.

It's their podcast, they can get drunk if they want.
And I think it'll be funny
|
Oh I'm just excited because iNcontrol will finally open up and speak his mind xD We know he is such a recluse and afraid to share his opinions <3
|
I honestly don't see how being drunk can add anything of value :\ But hey, we'll have to see I guess.

Good luck though. You're wrong, I'm sure the show will be funny as hell. Day9 is never pissed off, what are you talking about. Incontrol yeah, he might need some but I'm sure he'll be ready. Nony is always awesome, maybe even more awesome when intoxicated (if you've seen the youtube vid), and he normally makes complete sense (wtf are you talking about?). JP I am sure will be great as well and making the atmosphere even funnier/more awkward than normal.

Dude, have the people who posted here actually been drunk? Or are they all little middle-schoolers who have only seen it as part of an after-school special? I don't think they plan on getting sloppy drunk before the show. They're going to have some drinks, be relaxed, probably say some hilariously stupid stuff.
