Oh my god after all this time I've only just noticed that the sign below the State of the Game title that the camera quickly scrolls over in the intro is written in French. People seem to have a hard time understanding arguments about proper balance are more than achieving 50/50 results.

INnoVation and Soulkey are 50/50 for their last 8 games but the skill INnoVation demonstrated to win his games was much much higher than what Soulkey demonstrated winning his games. Note that is an illustrative example and in no way is meant to imply Soulkey's skill is significantly lower than INnoVation's.

Win rates for HotS Proleague.

TvZ: 36-23 (61%)
PvT: 33-38 (46.5%)

Proleague has a massive amount of games played in a week. I'm sure everybody will agree that the Kespa players are the best players as a whole.

Seems like Terran is doing fine to me.

59 Games is not that big of a sample size. And some of the maps are relatively bad for zerg.

I agree it's a small sample size, you can take all the stats from aligulac if you want a big sample size, and those point to terran being slightly better than Z/P both at the very top and in general.

This is a very top that is both tied to a single tournament, has a locked-in player pool and also has it's own flavors... I thought that tosses were all the rage in the ProLeague now, somehow these stats do not show this.

Also, in my eyes the team leagues are less relevant than single-player tournaments.

Probably come from the fact that it's incredible hard to rate different players skill level, making it extremely hard to take into account in statistic arguments about balance. Also the skill level is less important when looking at large groups of the different races unless you can prove that one of them have a significant different skill level for some reason.
