In one fallow swoop they crushed NASL's entire business model. Definitely. I would like to hear more about this topic. What about NASL but also, for instance; What about Iron Squid? Edit: And HSC, Lone Star, regular IEM's and MLG's. The only one that published its roster is Dreamhack so far.. Someone should do some proper journalism on this. SLASHER!?

I'll agree that it was perhaps a poor idea to do the announcement when InControl is on SotG, but telling the team first goes against every HR principle. When you're fired from a company, you're done. You're usually told, and then have some time with a counseling expert before being walked out the door. You're usually able to pick up your things at a later date when no one is around. There's no easy way to fire someone, but a straight up honest and quick termination is the best for all parties, especially the person getting fired. That's hardly a universal practice, at least for any of the companies I've worked for. I know many people that would get pissed of at their management if that's how something like this was handled.

Honestly, where's the coverage of this issue? It potentially has a massive, massive impact on the entire scene. If MLG has a monopoly on NA tournaments, will there be enough opportunities to support and promote mid-tier and up and coming NA players? Right now there are only 2 North American players in the entire premiere league, for fucks sake.

I stopped watching ITG because all DJ wheat does is agree with Geoff and Idra all day. ITG is the worst show IMO just because of that fact. SOTG is the best when u have slasher or QXC who actually has opinions. GJ today.... Emotional plus lots of content. If u guys don't like how slasher acts (or any devil's advocate type), Go watch Inside the game. This is why i love this show, different persona's makes it unique. please keep Incontrol on... please have destiny on vs him.. it will be unreal. The greatest show possible with Destiny and Incontrol well I haven't seen inside the game, but having slasher on WAS great. he definitely brought the tension, made it much more interesting to watch. I don't think the how valuable is idra, will he get picked up?" debate would have got fleshed out as much had he not been there. hope to see him back on the show.

Let them take turns doing seasons and whatnot that way nobody is forced to cease existing. IIRC OSL runs a broadcast while GSL is running WCS this season, so viewers can choose which they wanna watch, and the situation will be the same next season but in the reverse. Couldn't they do this for NA scene too? At the very least doing the swap between the companies running it would be cool, I'd be sad to see NASL disappear ![]()

Sports teams have way more players who are often not friends with one another. They also don't go on talk shows to talk about current events every week. And on and on and on. It's just unprofessional as shit not to brief the team and let people know what's going on.

Your post and those like it are mind boggling. If you were fired, would you want to be the last to know?

It would kinda suck if all your colleagues knew you were getting the chop before you knew, especially if you happened to find out from one of them.

Eh, it's not about informing the team before the player, not sure where you are getting that idea from. Naturally you inform Idra first, then the team, then release the public statement.

They posted the news on TL at pretty much the same time that they told Incontrol while he was on SOTG. If they didn't inform Incontrol until that very moment, I assume that the other EG players were not informed ahead of time either.

First it was "How dare they inform IdrA last", then it was "How dare they inform the team members last", and now it's "How dare they release their press statement a few minutes after contacting the team". Please people, get your whining in order.
