JP, haters are gonna hate, but just remember that the people who appreciate your work greatly outnumber the people who do not. I look forward to your next show, whenever that may be.. and in the meanwhile, stay healthy!

Since the show's host and co-hosts are important figureheads of the Starcraft community, their opinions greatly influence the way the community thinks. Of course, that makes them subject to criticism, often unwarranted, from a small minority of the public. I can't believe Giant Bomb is haggling with them over the respectable amount of compensation for their work on the show. If Giant Bomb is not serious about their commitment to esports, specifically their offer to sponsor the show, then they shouldn't keep string them along.

How much more transparent do you want him to be? Do you want him to mail you the contracts and let you go over them yourself? To post everyone's schedules on Reddit and say "Hey, can you guys schedule a time for us to plug out a 3 hour podcast please? We obviously can't do it ourselves." It obviously sucks that they can't have a show while they're trying to deal with a huge corporate monstrosity, but that's how things are. Included in that is not telling everyone anymore than he's already said. Sorry, but there's only so much we should/can know. My biggest surprise is that no one has emailed Giant Bomb and their legal department to bitch like everyone seems to love doing to team sponsors.

Yeah, that's what I want Mauldo, I want contracts mailed to me. I mean, where was his statement about SotG? Last I saw was the "oh, and state of the game is dead" tweet. What exactly has he said past that that normal viewers didn't have to play Clue for? Not everyone digs through every comment on reddit or watches every online show. Why not just edit the first post saying "I'm done with SotG and want to focus on other things", with or without reason, something of that note.

1.8.12 State of State of the Game So, State of the Game -- a quick update! It's still a show. I've been taking a "break" from the show because I've been figuring out my career, where I'm going to be moving and everyone has been incredibly busy. We will start back with regular shows in late August -- I don't have a date for you, sorry. We are doing away with the current assets as well and they are being built from the ground up. Might be keeping the intro/outro song, might not -- depends on if I can secure rights for it. The deal we spoke about during our PAX show is still a thing its just taking a very long time to get everything sorted and filed away. So, stick around, and soon enough we'll be back 110%. Until then, enjoy Inside the Game, Live on 3, The GD Studio, and all the other great content out there. Posted by JP WTF?
