Tyler --- no, protoss Incontrol --- no, protoss Day9 --- no, random JP --- no, random Artosis --- no, protoss I don't understand why people get so freaked out over what race people play. I play protoss and zerg, but I love it when Idra is on the show and QXC was awesome. But I don't really care what race they play, it is more about the people and if they have interesting things to say.

As a zerg player I don't care if they all play zerg or none of them. Just keep doing what you're doing.

I also don't like that you seem to not be very concerned about how important this is judging by the painuser comment. What if Sotg had been run by a bunch of terrans during the beta? Neither of them acknowledging how OP their race is. That would annoy you, I'm sure about it. It is very offensive to hear a couple of tosses on the show talking about lategame PvT and complaining that the protoss army is worse than a terran army in an offensive position. And this happens at a time when every terran from bronze to GSL winner level has huge problems with TvP in the lategame. Terrans are very under represented as casters and as participants on shows like Sotg. And then people wonder why there are almost no terrans on the ladder anymore ... sigh. they do talk about toss being op. when toss was on a tear or they made the Terran nerfs or toss buffs they spoke plent, especially incontrol, about how much better toss has it. I remember them talking about the ghost nerf as too much and stuff like that. Plus I don't want to listen to a podcast that just bitches about balance anyway. They should leave it out entirely.

The discussion about patches and hots updates are actually my favorite part of the show.

MLG won't be using extended series for the event because if they did then every single game in the bracket play would be an extended series. My point was that it's funny how they have a problem with every game being extended series when they have done nothing but argue for how great the rule is. If it's great they wouldn't have a problem with it. Because there are group rounds before the bracket, everyone will have an extended series against everyone else. However, the group rounds also give preferential seeding in the bracket. This means that people who are seeded into the semifinals could meet an opponent whom they had lost to in the group stage and wind up starting from behind even though They took first or second in the group and got the preferential seeding. It would allow the possibility of your reward, the preferential seeding, actually being a punishment since you are forced to start down a set or two. I don't know the exact rules, but I'm pretty sure this sort of thing doesn't happen the same way in the other mlg events, since a player has to fall to the losers bracket to meet a player he had a previous series with. That said, it has always been a controversial rule, and I can see why people can be extremely upset by it.

But the same is true in the normal MLGs a person can be seeded farther in the losers bracket and have somebody that happened to beat them in pools fight there way up and face them. It is also possible for the person coming from the losers bracket to have an advantage in the finals if they happened to win against the person from the winners bracket in pool play.

However the people who are regulars are there because they are JPs friends and make often time to do the show, plus they all add alot to the show. We have seen people being invited and were just too camera shy or didnt do well on a podcast. It has nothing to do with them being Protoss, they played different races in BW. So its not some crazy conspiracy to get sway Blizzard to listen to a pro Toss podcast.

Plus I imagine all the pillars on the show don't follow the current Brood War scene much if at all and couldn't give accurate information.

All of them watched Jangbi win OSL and were more than happy to discuss it on the show while none of them seemed to show any interest at all towards some other event that happened at roughly the same time (GSL maybe? Not sure).
