Edit: At the angry guy above, that has nothing to do with the podcast style. You'd have a hard time finding a more friendly and relaxed discussion than the one from the Bombcast. Production value doesn't interfere with a good, friendly discussion. In fact it rather helps with that. The Bombcast is recorded with all participants in the same room on their own mic. Totally different from a Skype call. | ||

Guys like Orb and IdrA built their reputations largely on becoming the guy that people love to hate. So when they cross the line, shit hits the fan. | ||

JP needs to call hosts ahead of time and show them how to set the right input in Skype/Windows. Day9 could have used a headset mic too but his situation was unique this week so whatever. | ||

Maybe set the start time for 5 mins before the hour, but really sneakly start the show on the hour. *shrug* It's fusturating becuase you have so many schedules to juggle to get the show going, and unlike the lul in december everyone is doing 10 different things at once. Either way, production issues nonwithstanding SOTG is still my favorite SC2 show, and you do an amazing job even getting anything on air to us. Keep up the good work man, shit happens but you guys plough through it. Though you did look a bit salty when the first call went to hell :/ (I'd be salty too lol) | ||

Pleased qxc picked up on the point about casters being public relations and so if they damage their relationship with the community that's their reason for existence smashed up. He's added a really nice thoughtful perspective to the show. Felt what Day9 said about people jumping to negatives and taking positives for granted. Although I don't think there was any lack of support and praise for mlg (for example) before ppv and EG have a lot of fans who show their support all the time if not by directly contacting sponsors. I hope that people who complained also took the time afterwards to support the decision. At the same time asking people not to mete out vigilante justice is a bit of a stretch based on comments like 'we're looking into it', 'we're taking it seriously' - make a statement saying, 'we are completely against racist and homophobic comments, we prohibit it completely in our employees'. There has to be no chance that they're brushing it off. Stephano is a total badass. JP did a good job dealing with tangents and bringing the discussion back and keeping track of things, like, a really good job - obviously geoff is a bad influence. at the same time, missing those big laughs without dan and geoff, nice to see sean back. Tyler's chitchat about specific game points - phoenixes and stephano's games and things were interesting and I'd like to see more of that sort of attention to detail. | ||
