Furthermore, he didn't even want to adress Assembly, and let the others do all the talking about it. Hoping for more unbiased material in the future.. It has always been State of the MLG and the NA scene. Now that the NA scene is falling behind and becoming less relevant it just becomes more obvious.

They are right, tho, JP is really biased most of the time. But I don't really care, as long as the other "pillar" are not. And they are not. And don't get me wrong... I don't dislike JP. He is working for MLG after all, so it's kinda normal. Would be better probably if those kind of show were not run by a biased organisation, tho, I guess.

What i was missing at the last show(s) was the lack of full time casters (artosis or day9) and that the NesTea interview was a little boring because SotG lives from the funny interaction between the guys and thats hard with a translator in between. And please get some Terrans ![]()

Its like blaming Kobe Bryant for talking about basketball and not soccer. And please get some Terrans ![]() kinda sorta, it'd be more like if kobe bryant made attempt after attempt at every opportunity to show why basketball was the best and only awesome sport ever. i like mlg, but i still think mlg's worst enemy is going to be mlg. the simple fact is that if you aren't in code a/s, you probably are depending on mlg because it just has the most frequent tournaments. again, that isn't to downplay them, but if you have to choose between having filet minon once a month or get a burger every day...you can't live eating once a month. i just hope it doesn't go to their head, and it seems to have blatantly gone to some of their employees. trying to imply you're better as an individual tournament than code s or ipl is just silly and big headed. dont get me wrong a fourty foot sign in new york is awesome as an advertising piece, but in terms of content im still waiting for panels, or anything that shows that mlg doesnt seem to just be playing catch up to everyone else. personally though, i just hope sean starts appearing on the show again and everyone else. i know he's busy and has his company and face of starcraft and bla bla bla, but, sean plott is sincerely missing from the tournament scene and state of the game lately. im happy to have guests once in a while, but what's been going on lately, as tyler said, i have to treat more as bonus content than actual state of the game.

You guys are ridiculous considering that it wasn't just JP but Incontrol, Tyler, Catz, and Nestea all said that they feel that Genius could have played better and that they were disappointed with the finals. Catz said he only enjoyed the first and final game and that the games in between were crap. How the hell do you get that JP is biased from that episode considering every single other person felt that the finals was not the highest level of play expected? And I haven't heard anyone say that that finals is one of the top 3 finals ever, unless you mean top 3 in the GSL. Well that's not really much of an achievement considering the only 2 good finals have been Jjakji vs Leenock and MMA vs DRG. Every other finals has had a good game or two (MVP vs TOP game 1), but a generally boring sweep. As far as best finals ever, Genius vs DRG doesn't rate in the top 5. Puma vs MC and ThorZaiN vs Naniwa were way more exciting finals, for example.

Even watching the GSL 2012 Season 1 finals, I felt that Genius threw away the advantage he had by trying cheesier "crowd pleasing" builds that wound up losing hardcore to the more traditional BO's of DRG.

This is hilarious, because when people were discussing MLG, JP specifically told them to not say good things, only point out stuff that didn't go well or needed improvement. Also, while this GSL season has been insane and awesome, but the finals themselves... eh. They were exciting up until Genius went carriers, after that point I just knew how the rest of the series was going to go, and I was absolutely right. You're the only person I've heard say they were the top 3 finals ever, it's just not true.

It's just the way it always works with casters and we, as fans, have short term memory and think that the latest is the greatest.

Anyone who has kept a close on eye on Genius in the past and particularly this season can see that Genius played no where near par to what he is capable of, going into the finals I honestly felt Genius was legitimately the better player but after seeing the games I think it was safe to assume he didn't play anywhere near close to his skill, so on that note the finals were disappointing, as for the games them-self they were really nothing special compared to our last 2 GSL finals and the games Genius played against Nestea and DRG in the RO32 and RO16. Although DRG played well it was more of Genius's loss then DRG's win.
