I actually kind of like the "technicality rule". I mean, the other option is to have players automatically lose the game if they break the rules. You might get some kind of interesting "Monday funday" action with the current setup.
I think the "technicality rule" may be too harsh in its current form. Perhaps it should be like power play in professional hockey. Rather than an outright ban on producing unit "X" they should have set a penalty period where the person who is punished cannot produce drones/SCVs/and probes for a certain period of time.

Let's put it another way:
If Team Dignitas didn't just have 1 guy representing them in the US SC2 scene and their entire 5-man roster was at that same party, inControl would probably not dare say some of that shit, booze or not.
Why? Both the MLG Dallas and the MLG DC LiveOn3 casts were EG wank-fests. inControl was surrounded by EG teammates and even one of the interviewers was EG (the old manager guy with the bald spot). After the MLG DC cast, I thought it was inControl just trying to be funny, but now that we've seen a repeat in Dallas, it's clear now that it's just inControl bullying a guy from another team while his EG teammates laugh. (and of course their target is not even in the room)
Of course, SeleCT is strong enough himself to solo the US scene by himself without his teammates, but boy would things be different if d.Apollo and the rest of those guys were there backing him up.

Generally a joke should be kinda serious or possible in order for it to be funny. This isnt.
When people started to be so whiners :O It seems people are trying their best to find ways to be offended and something to whine about. If you constantly get offended by these kinda shows maybe you just shouldn't watch it.
