Are you joking here? Isn't that just like saying its movie companies fault for letting their movies be filmed and put on the internet? Next thing your going to say is they make enough money and one less view isn't going to hurt them.

EDIT: Personally I hope the person who posted the stream rip on here gets perma-banned. But I'm a nobody and most likely wrong, just my thoughts.

Not the same thing, MLG is beeing greedy and inefficient here.

Ok you people are really clueless, so lets get some facts straight:

it is NOT pirating, as the the guy who uploaded it is NOT making any profit at all, and that is the big difference.

Hate to break it to you. It's still pirating. Reloaded and Skidrow don't make profit off ripping Battlefield 3, it's still pirating.

But let's have some real talk here from the man, the legend, Gabe Newell who has repeatedly said (I'm paraphrasing),"If the pirates provide a better service, we deserve to lose." It's that simple.

What was the Justice system thinking.... They should be in contact with Gabe Newell when assessing pirating laws... Come on..

iTunes came out, pirating dropped massively. Spotify came out, pirating stats dropped. Youtube became popular, pirating stats dropped. Valve started releasing games day 1 in Russian and Russia went from their largest pirated market to their 2nd most valuable European market. It's simples.

Massively =/= zero. Pirating stats dropped =/= zero. Youtube popularity =/= zero. I think you get where I am getting at. You are attempting to suggest that since LEGAL ways to purchase products should mean that pirating a show that takes 20 hours longer than some people want means they should steal it. I'm sorry but I don't follow that logic man.

I don't think that's what he meant at all :/

Yeah, I know! I got the point he was trying to make! But the basis of the problem is, it is still illegal. That's the point. Whether it is very illegal or even a little bit illegal. The word illegal in both those statements would choose i am correct on this issue. That is all, I'm not saying I don't understand why people would pirate it. Everyone on Teamliquid is wanting a free service done ASAP and if it isn't uploaded the very second JP turns off the stream well then fuck him and MLG. Did I get the overall point?

It was illegal for balck people to do a lot of things in south afrcia. It's illegal is not a very interesting argument when discussing the right or wrong of something.

Wat?
Wouldn't be much piracy in the world if everyone who uploaded something without making profit wasn't considered pirates? I've never even seen anyone making profit of pirated stuff.

Well, maybe then thats pirating in USA, im not sure, in Spain at least and im pretty sure that its the same in all of Europe, that is not piracy

Distributing material(online) that infringes on copyright is often referred to as piracy, all over the world I'm pretty sure.

Great show and Incontrol was a great host, even better than JP imo.

no, its not the next second, the problem comes when it takes them 1 or 2 days and they say that is impossible to upload it earlier, when they are clearly lying.

I have a mlg membership so they are getting my moneym dont, worry, how about you? and I hope you never watched BW korean restreams of course, just as illegal

Typical arguments for those trying to justify their own pirating. You clearly are just choosing whatever flavor of argument suits your needs. In the end you're still stealing, still ignoring the importance and value of intellectualy property rights, and there's no way to justify it.

The live viewers should be crusified for not using MLGs website You fail to think about why the vod is on the mlg website, an dnot in the working service of blip or twitch.

It's on MLG's site because they own the IP. Therefore they deserve the revenue. Pretty simple.

Where did I say it was legal? All I explained was how Humans work. I watch it live so I really don't give a fuck. All I'm explaining was human nature and proving it with multiple examples and the thoughts of someone who is affected by piracy to the tune of multiple millions of dollars not just some shitty ad revenue. You just whined about how it was illegal in 3 overly long posts.

I wonder how the USA users would feel if the show was broadcast at 5:00 AM local time, then the vod is days late. Which by that point, the topics are maybe outdated or what happened on the show is posted all over reddit/TL.
I don't support piracy of such an event, but this is maybe an incentive to actually do something about the vod upload system. If a pirate can capture and upload the entire thing in 20 mins, I'm sure the vod can be put on MLG.tv within a day at max.

I have to say that day9 seems really depressed with new units in Hots....depressed is to strong of a word, but he really seems to dislike them.

Great show. Good job hosting Geoff! Love having Destiny on - he doesn't try to make himself the focal point but still gets some very valid and some hilarious moments in the show when he does chime in.

Get well soon JP.

Almost all topics they talk about are 'outdated' and already posted on TL or reddit. And that's okay because SOTG is no news show.

Thank you for another great show.
I have this itching feeling it could have been better with that cast though. The HotS new unit discussion was pretty lame, I was expecting more extravaganza there.

I hope you keep doing the hosting JP. iNcontroL did an awesome job of course, but being the host and the most outspoken person is not the best combination.

Its pathetic hearing the defenses of pirating. If you are going to do it, just do it, dont try to make it like its actually okay, dont blame it on someone else.

As for the arguement of how I would feel if it came on at 5AM, I would wait or use the MP3 link JP gave last night... There have been times where I missed the show and waited... I actually do it with Cross Counter Live, since these shows kind of overlap I wait for CCLive and they take a few days as well sometimes (or maybe Im just missing it lol)

This post, on so many levels, 100% correct.

If I'm going to be critical of the cast for just a moment, I'd say that Day[9] was very disappointing when it came to the HOTS discussion. Does he not have an opinion about this stuff because it's not developed enough to have an opinion, or because he knows the community will eat everything up he says? I disliked hearing him say "I have no idea" over and over again. Not on his game tonight, I think.

IdrA on the HOTS units was of course a treat, but overall if you're going to shut out Tyler and Destiny with a discussion that everyone on the internet has already heard last week, it's probably better to just let the subject go (IdrA or no). Felt rushed, content was nowhere near the level of last week.

iNcontroL was a great host and I think there was no better choice of host from the lot of them given JP was out, but he toed the line of it being the iNcontroL Show. If IdrA wasn't there it very well could have been. JP can be unimaginably dull sometimes, but he's sort of the calm eye of the storm of SotG, and I hope he gets well soon.

Liked the show last night, but if you're going to have destiny on please get him to reign in the hate speech. It makes our entire community look bad.

That's not our fault, that's MLG's fault

Wow, someone had to go there lol... There is a huge difference between human rights and piracy. Don't use racial discrimination as a comparison here, it's so out of context.

This. I think if you take out Tyler or Day[9] and put in jp as host you have a very good show.
if your going to hit rock bottom, might as well make it the mariana trench.
