Didn't say anything about Oz's builds. If you watch the games, JYP's builds were very vulnerable. He took tons of damage from early aggression.. his builds did not look very refined. (which is a must for top level PvP) Haa ok, he talked about the specific PvP, that explains everything, and that's reassuring, it means he watched it, because yeah I agree with what he said. Listening to a show in english when you're not english can do that.

I'm talking about BW threads where BW people start bashing sc2 completely out of the blue. You mention mods, but I've seen even mods do it, and then go on to warn and ban other people who respond to those hateful comments trying to earnestly defend themselves. I was shocked that I kept seeing such bias, and that's what made me stop going there. You may not have witnessed such behavior, but I have. Many times. Of your four post in the bw section, I assume this is what you're thinking of: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=256157¤tpage=4#76 I agree his post is borderline iffy, but you're the one going off on a tangent, calling him a snob and saying there's a war between the two communites and feel like you have to defend yourself.

It was easier when the show wasn't as popular but I dont think it's realistic to expect them to speak their mind on everything that's going on in the scene. I miss that too but still it's a great show and hope that they'll keep doing it for a long time to come. For the record, i never said i expect them to say those things anymore when i know that they will most likely get into at least a little bit of trouble for it just so we can have a better viewing experience. It's just my opinion, along with a few others that it was better before when it was no fluff about everything. It felt more... I don't know how to describe it exactly. Organic, raw, honest and real? Which is fine i guess, i still enjoy watching it for the laughs while i'm procrastinating. And will continue to watch the show. But did i prefer the way it was before? You bet i did.

Yeah he's super defensive by what he thinks is class warfare. Obviously he's chosen by God to be a Templar and defend the masses of SC2 fans from the vicious infidels (BW ELITISTS).

Well, no I wasn't thinking of that. I wasn't ever talking about myself, but just what I've observed on the board. I didn't even remember that post. I may seem to have reacted strongly, but you keep ignoring or dismissing what I've mentioned of my experiences. I don't know whether you think I'm just lying or what. Why would I even do that? The comment I responded to was "borderline iffy", but it wasn't even as bad as the many others I've come across before, and after, just on TL. The ones by the mods are really the worst. They should know better than the regular users, but I've seen some really hateful comments from them, directed at sc2 fans. It's highly unpleasant to feel like you're being attacked almost daily by the community which you loved. And if that wasn't enough, I just get ridiculed and unfairly scrutinized for bringing it up here, as if I'M somehow the problem. It seems futile to attempt a real discussion, so I'm just gonna stop wasting any more of our time.

It's like BW still being around threatens his job security as a caster in Korea :/ It's almost hard to believe that he once had an appreciation for the game. I want the old Artosis back!! Did he really SAY that? He doesn't strike me as a person who would say that at all, there's always this glee in his eyes when he's talking about Brood War. ![]() I honestly can't imagine him saying anything similar.

You know what I'm gonna watch the VoD again just to make sure he actually did say it.... I'm almost positive he said it though ![]() Edit: He does say it. About halfway through when they're talking about WCG being casted and broadcast on OGN. It just makes me really sad to hear that from these guys who used to be top players and prominent fans. They should be more supportive ![]() ![]()

Now we have zero community figure left that can actually talk about Korean game/metagame. (we have Wolf/DOA or even Moletrap, but they don't appear anywhere but GOM) Anyway, that was a very good show this week, I'll re-listen to it I think. Amazing post there... I just feel that the people that represent our community just don't care at all, most of them don't actually play the game, so they're completly off on what the trends are, and a few part of them look at the VODs... It's great we've Wolf, his knowledge seems to be pretty damn good ! Sad it's beeing trolled up by Doa though a lot of the time... But Doa is a good guy, more VODs and more playing for him should get him improved ![]() Artosis & Tasteless HAVE to deeply get back into the game... They're figures, and always have been up with what's up, i'm sure they're really busy nowadays, but commonnnnn for god's sake. Then comes all the NA '' casters '' that don't even play/watch the game.. no comment on that, waste of time. I still believe that we should see our Pros join up a commentator for deeper analysts [ QXC, Idra, etc... ] That's what's up.

When I hear Artosis, Incontrol, or other people who actually play give advice I take it way more seriously than what Day-9 says. I want to see Day-9 play! The best coaches, scouts, and analysts in traditional sports either don't play, no longer play, or were often nowhere near as good as their counterparts in their playing careers. Todd Haley is an NFL coach and never even played High School football. Being good at a game can certainly give you an advantage when providing commentary and analysis, but not playing at a professional level shouldn't make you take things he says less seriously.
