You're taking what he said out of context. He wished that this slow transistion could be over already because watching the sport slowly die is more painful. Indeed, that's the problem. Same with SC2, there's enough global interest to keep it running for several years still. I bet Artosis would like to see a Starcraft game with a Korean BW-2007 scene but with the addition of a global SC2-2012 one. Now that would be something. Unfortunately that can only become a reality if the BW teams transfer over to SC2 which is unlikely to happen anytime soon. | ||

A lot of people in Korea and on TL as well consider BW and SC2 to be utterly unalike and their love for BW may not transition into love for SC2. I don't fall into the latter category but I understand it completely. This game has a long way to go before it can fill the role that BW does and only at that point can we begin to discuss the rationality of abandoning BW since it would be truly outdated. It is from that perspective that a lot of people express disbelief at what Artosis said because he used to be a part of that scene and has to understand that SC2 is not yet ready to fill BW's shoes.
