I used to like him as a personality, and I won't do an aggressive character assassination here, but he (and JP) must be aware that there are many people in this community who find his impressions and limelight hogging etc to be obnoxious. I respect his right to be there, and that he has many fans - but if they want access to him there are ample oppotunities on the 'Inside the EG' podcast, and more than ever once he sets up at the EG house. Personalities that people both adore and revile can only have a negetive effect on the show's success.

Just as long as it stays on Starcraft discussion, and doesn't dive into crap raised on forums that require free press in order to be relevant, I'm happy as a brick of cheese. edit: tyler thinks baneling drops are OP? awww c'mon tyler. A cannon in your mineral line aggros the banes. edit: geoff still interrupting people/showing discomfort when they talk for a long time. love geoff's addition overall, but it'd be nice if he didn't do this -edit: it only happens a couple of times

They weren't booed when the ceremony was going on, they put the SC stream up on the Halo mainstage after the Halo finals ended and then they cut the sound out and people booed because I don't think they were aware of why the sound cut out. But then DMAQ said "Come on guys, were about to do the Halo award ceremony" and I think everyone mostly felt bad because they thought they were just booing what they thought was a tech issue. I was in the front row of the halo stage when this happened with other MLG staff and FXO/CoL

I'm pretty sure a lot of people asked for Incontrol to be back on the show, and you must admit that it was quite stale without him, whether that's his fault or not is a different matter but it's pretty clear that there are people who like him. Just because you don't like him and some others share the same opinion as you, doesn't mean that a different opinion doesn't exist or belongs to an extremely small group of people. It's just, for the most part, the people who do like incontrol don't whine and bitch every time he speaks and don't make hate posts all over the forum telling everyone that they hate him, so they're not appearing in every thread and it looks as if there aren't many fans.

On the topic of fan access at events, it may be possible to have something like quarterbacks have in practice (don't hit the guy in the red jersey or the like)...some kind of visual signal to the fans that the player is 'in the zone' and it's not a good time to approach them. I'm sure it has drawbacks, but may kind of streamline things by allowing the players to indicate from a distance (or without having to let each fan know) whether or not they're available to interact based on what they have going on.

The show was such a clusterfuck with too many people. Last night's show everyone did an AWESOME job at not interrupting each other, etc. Great show. Welcome back, Geoff!

One of the most insightful and correct posts ever written, sorry JP, I'll give this episode a go but now Incontrols' back I'm done, obnoxious limelight hogging bullies is where I draw the line. One, Inside EG podcast is enough.

Compared to the rest of the people who listen to SOTG, it is better to have him on, than to not have him on.
