Pretty irrelevant, I mean do you genuinely think EG or SirScoots is here conniving in his mind "Yes I know the PERFECT way to stop THAT MAN JP MCDANIEL. Yes, first I will tell my player that he should focus on his team priorities, yes its an absolutely genius plan!!!"
I can see it now, SirScoots wringing his hands together while sitting on his platinum throne with his cat Saffy sitting on the arm rest.

when will people learn that being a dick openly has less of a backlash than stupid shit like this
->if<- it indeed is the reason why he's no longer "allowed" on sotg , tell the community straight up instead of ... this ^^

It's fucking 4 hours a week. It's not detrimental to them in the slightest.
It's even possible for them to practice while on SOTG if they wanted to, just talk through skype and not have the webcam on -_- I think you greatly misunderstand the amount of effort it takes to be the best at this game(100%). Huk has stated he practices 10 hours or more a day. Thats what it takes to win DreamHack and HomeStory. Personally, I work that much in a day and it knocks me out. With my commute and the small necessity of shopping for food, cleaning and other parts of real life, I have a little free time. I feel safe is saying that the guys over at EG are busier that I am. I can see why they want to keep their life simple and keep their eye on the prize. But if you feel they can practice against the best players in the world while also being part of a podcast, more power to you. Your wrong, but that never stopped anyone. iNcontroL basically said exactly what you summed up last night during Kings of Tin. In fact, with the success of HuK I think it has been a major eye opener for everyone in that regards. I think his words were basically, "how many champions have you heard say they practice 3 hours a day?" Can't think of one.
Wheat, this logic is beyond folks like this, like the concept of jet-lag. Players like Incontrol and Idra make it look easy, so they assume it is. All some of them see if that something was taken away from them and, being greedy, they want everything.
It's not like these players have personal lives, families, girlfriends(these are time consuming) and other hobbies. And the concept of a manager, well, managing his players. That's way to much.

How do you not understand by now most people have no problem with him leaving SotG, they are upset about the deception involved. They openly denied that EG had anything to do with it, Incontrol said it was 100% his decision, clearly it was not. The intentional deception is what has people in an uproar, not "they took away our precious SotG".

You wanted No-Fluff... I've asked Alex Garfield (EG's Executive Director) to come on Inside the Game tonight. It will be just Geoff and I (due to travel issues) so I thought it would be a perfect time to finally address this. I hope you'll join us.
I really hope it's not the half-patronising, half-mocking viewpoint that is so often presented in similar cases.

As much as I'd love to believe that, no, I was just making a joke inspired by this thread's RIGOROUS analysis of evidence integrity.
Though Scoots surely has a platinum throne. Otherwise what's the point?

In 20 minutes we go live with Inside The Game. I will be bringing Alex Garfield (EG's Executive Director) on Inside The Game to discuss Geoff leaving SOTG. I hope that JP will forgive me from posting this in the Official SOTG thread, but I thought it was topical. I also feel like this has gone on too long, is hurting every party involved, and hopefully everyone will be satisfied with an explanation.

I totally understand why people are upset. I think its unreasonable and silly, but I get it.
EG openly denied that they were not forcing him to quit the show so he could be in Inside the Game. They totally could have said, "You need to focus more, you have to many side projects." Or maybe there are other reasons that would hurt EG if they released the information(sponsor objecting to the show).

You're naive if you think that this wasn't a business decision. And while they may not want JP to fail, they did pull their support from a program that benefited them when the time was right. I think that's what makes people uncomfortable.

Why does this even matter? The only problem i have with this whole drama thing, is that someone actually takes screenshots of other people's convos....

I really hope it's not the half-patronising, half-mocking viewpoint that is so often presented in similar cases. Unfortunately, whether something is the truth or not at this point is irrelevant. It's just going to come across as damage control. Unless they came out and said "Yeah bitches we made Incontrol leave SOTG and laughed in your face while doing it," in which case I would be impressed by the sheer "don't give a fuckery" being exhibited.

What about all the people who stopped watching ITG out of principle? Who will inform them!?
