They're referencing his reply here:
There's absolutely no problem with people trying to make money from e-sports. There's absolutely no problem with people pulling sponsored members from shows when there are competing interests. The problem is that people have to be so deceptive about everything, I feel like it shows a lack of respect to the community/audience.

Hey Slasher - First off, I wanna say you're doing a great job, keep doing all the good stuff you do - That goes to SirScoots as well, I have a lot of respect for you dude. However, I do agree with alot of other people here, that the whole State of the Game-business has been abit of a joke.. I mean, you (SirScoots) and DjWheat started up and own onemoregame.tv together, you've stated so in several interviews, which is cool.. What is less cool that you, Scoots, have pretty much ordered members of the team you manage, not to be host on SotG with the 'excuse' of them having to cut down on their activities outside of practicing - In the meantime, you have said members of the team you manage, host/co-host shows on the site/channel you co-own privately.. I think this is the part that people find a little... 'funny' and seem unprofessional..
Lastly, I wanna say that I think no one in this community wouldn't want you to have this onemoregame.tv-project, and the exposure that comes with it, it's just a shame that it should be on the expense of a community-founded project like SotG

I don't understand why they cant just make an official statement as to why they did what they did. Atleast be honest with the community if you already managed to upset them.
i enjoy SOTG but let's get real here. it does not produce a revenue stream. placing highly in SC2 tournaments provides the high visibility EGs benefactor's require... SOTG provides zero value for the guys who pay the bills at EG. EG guys made shoutouts every appearance in this much-loved show. How is this possibly not the kind of exposure a sponsor would want to see... do they need fancy graphics and an actual ad to run? They don't have ads on the show 24/7 like the steelseries logo etc? The shoutout section is at the very end of the show and some people stop watching by then. That could be a factor, but who knows we only have info on the result of the decision, not specifics. I can't speak for everyone, but when a player invests his time to share thoughts and opinions on this game I love, I respect that. I appreciate that. Business terms: they generate a lot of goodwill with me. Maybe running the ads makes me subconciously more disposed to buy X product but when Tyler got sponsored by Stride I went to their Facebook and "liked" them. And when I buy gum, I am going to buy Stride gum. It wasn't the annoying commercial with people riding ostriches. It was Tyler showing up on Tuesday nights, giving his thoughts and making me laugh. Hopefully sponsors can take that for what it's worth. I bought stride gum, and I really liked his way of plugging it. It wasn't a logo plastered there for 3 hours, but it is up to what sponsors want. He gave us an honest reason to buy the gum. I agree with what you are saying. I think most people understand WHY EG would make the decision they did, they just disagree with how they went through with it. If the sponsors want an ad placed and ITG is the show for that then so be it, it is business most people will understand that. Just don't lie. That's just it though; what decision? What exactly did EG do? Who are you even talking about when you say EG? From the comments here people seem to slowly be working their way to saying that it's all EG's fault that SOTG isn't currently running, or that they're trying to assassinate jp or something.
Geoff said he couldn't be a dedicated host anymore because of time constraints. A screenshot shows scoots saying it's fine for him to be a guest there whenever. From that we get that EG is holding Geoff hostage in his house and that EG is laughing maniacally in the background at the thought of tricking the viewers into...I can't even continue this hyperbole, what part of any of this ever implied EG had no say in what Geoff spent his time doing and at the same time told him he could never be on SOTG again?

Makes perfect sense. This is why we can't have nice things, the SC2's communities ability to completely make anything in Epic Drama! is really getting quite old and annoying.
We don't have nice things in the SC2 community? Seriously? Take a look around. The reason people cause drama is because they care about the nice things we have.

Except for the part where that is an extremely biased and inaccurate summary of events.
The point is that when incontrol initially announced that he was leaving a lot of people suspected that it was due to pressure from EG, but these theories were denied and ridiculed by Scoots.
And now we have a screenshot that suggests that EG were indeed the reason for incontrols departure from the show.
If EG managment felt that Incontrol cohosting SotG was a conflict of interest and told him to drop it for that reason then fine. I may not like that but I can understand it.
It's the shadiness and secrecy that is getting people riled up. People don't appreciate being lied to and treated like idiots.
Honestly I just want to know the truth. I'm finding it really hard to swallow the argument that his departure is due to time constraints, it just doesn't line up with everything else. Now all that's left to see is if Scoots/EG are going to be laughing this off as a crazy conspiracy theory again, or if they are going to fess up and offer an explanation this time.

So is anybody positive that SirScoots actually did disallow incontrol from participating on SotG, or is it just speculation at this point? I might be missing something but isn't this screenshot the only indication we have of that? http://i.imgur.com/o8BzI.jpg
I don't think we can consider 7 lines from a skype conversation definitive proof. Raises questions, sure, but this seems like an unnecesarily big shitstorm over such weak evidence.

Regardless, the fact that iNcontroL announced him stopping on SotG the very same week as he started cohosting on a show that his manager owns part of privately, does seem a little bit.. 'funny'

I dunno I figured you had more esports in you. + Show Spoiler [but seriously] + it was a rhetorical question...its the same reason every team doesn't throw infinity hardware and gear at all their players.

SOTG is not on the air because JP was busy moving and players were gone. The issue is with the lying about why Geoff left the show. That should be obvious by now, unless you didn't read everything else or atleast check the screenshot and jumped to a conclusion.

I never watched SotG for Incontrol, and don't really give a shit if hes there or not.. I just want it back.

The deception is what people are angry about. i dont feel deceived ... any time something with no real financial backing continues to exist i consider it a miracle. where is the deception? I'm assuming you did not read the last 10-20 pages? The story was that incontrol left SOTG to practice more, yet he stays on ITG. People thought EG was behind it. They denied it. Now it is shown that EG will not allow their members to become a staple in a show that is in somewhat the same realm as ITG. While Incontrol probably does need more time to practice, they blatantly lied about them not wanting their members on SOTG full time. It is pretty obvious where the deception was. Especially when people/players are assuring the community that EG is not affecting the decision in any way. In reality EG does have a say in what happened, they just don't want any bad pr. So the result is a partial lie to make them look good.
first of all this is all speculation... but what could've happened is what i stated. no specific "non-EG side project" banned from participation. more like "guys keep posting these crap results and you are gone.. 6th place out of 8th in our own team event is unacceptable".
there are activities on the payroll and then their are "extra side projects" keep in mind Incontrol also quit NASL and he didn't quit coaching.. gee i wonder which 1 pays more?
what i see are a bunch of ego-centric whiners who think the whole world revolves around their needs. and if their needs are not attended to they whine....
you know what man.... 1,000,000 things happen every day that impact your life and mine... and no one is ever gonna tell us a damn thing.
let me state again.. i like SOTG, and i am unhappy its not on any longer.
however, in the scenario i provided "the SOTG fans" are simply "collateral damage" no direct orders... in fact... the guys who feed EG money that saw their crap results who might be SirScoots indirect boss and decided to tighten the reins on the "pro team" might not even know what SOTG is....
muddying the waters with my great theory here is Incontrol's track record of finger pointing at colleagues when the heat is on and constant retractions and apologies.
welcome to the real world
personally, i prefer the Neil Armstrong/Idra approach rather than the Incontrol/Buzz Aldrin approach to dealing with all this speculation.
