tyler talks to the community alot and yet almost noone dumps on him
jinro has one of the highest post counts on the site and yet people are civil to him.
ive also seen people like drewbie, naniwa and huk all post a reasonable amount. none of these people get dumped on. just simply saying that engaging in the community gets you a lot of crap isnt fair.

This thread reaches super infantile levels every week it seems and I really doubt most of the people involved on either side are really that way in general; people just seem to like to use this thread to take out their frustrations on others.

When he says things like "this team is better than that" or "that team isn't good enough" or "i'm better than X player, look at my results" OF COURSE people are going to reply...

Perhaps you should take note of the things that Incontrol gets into arguments over and then see if any of the pros with higher post counts act the same way.

tyler doesn't make claims that he's better than players that have similar or better results than him so he doesn't get shit storms. Jinro can say w.e cause he got 4th at 2 gsl's which is better than anyone on TL. Only reason for the inc hate is cause of his statements about FXO

Yes, please ignore the entire conversation that occurred, we're just the worst vocal following, obviously...
He doesn't get "hate" because he engages in the community, at least that's not what's happening here, he's getting responded to for being abrasive and dismissive after starting a topic in regards to EG/FXO himself.
There are plenty of players who engage in the community and are well liked. Even inControl is generally well liked, he just said some dumb stuff here and is getting called out on it.

and how he is better than sheth and moonan because of ONE result which is debatable in the first place (MLG)

InControl is actually opinionated and invested in where the community goes. It is in his nature to debate points and actually engage in discussion. Most of the other pros ignore everyone or they aren't active on the site.
How exactly does he act unlike other people?

When he got into a balance discussion with IdrA. Day9 is a neutral character at all times, and doesn't want to directly tell people they are wrong. So he is less as less likely to be hated on.

Yup I agree with this. That is an example of one more thing that he has said to piss people off (which I addressed but was at the very bottom of the page... I will quote it below in the spoiler)
And of course that is only referring to VERY recent things. He does this kind of stuff all the time. For example go look up his posts on the Demuslim thread and tell me he isn't asking for a response.
+ Show Spoiler +On June 02 2011 06:31 Chicane wrote: Oh iNcontroL... I was actually really happy you got 4th last MLG, even though you seem to ignore the fact that the seeding is skewed (and I see you ignore it by putting yourself above Moonan given Sigur's argument)... but now I really can't wait for you to get a reality check. Unfortunately you are now in what is easily considered by everyone to be the easiest group at Columbus, so you will still likely do quite well, but when compared to all the players at Dallas and your results there, I don't think you truly deserved 4th.
That's just my opinion. You can prove me wrong with consistent results in the future. Either way, it is disappointing to see that you can't simply acknowledge that your results were due to your opportunity to attend every MLG (as we have seen though your responses).
Also, I really hate how you are now talking down on other players for having "no accomplishments" when you were recently in the position of having none, but you were saying it was an unfair judgment to make due to how hard it is to post good results.
Well the fact is Moonan has actually won quite a decent amount of events if you look at his TLPD (with many good players in those events like Axslav, CatZ, dde, sheth, fenix, vibe, cruncher etc.) yet you immediately dismiss him as having no accomplishments. What a fucking joke... seriously. Someone who was in your position of having to defend himself from being criticized for having no accomplishments is now taking the opportunity to put himself above other players who don't have accomplishments now that you do (even though they also have accomplishments). I seriously lost a lot of respect for you... though I know that doesn't matter.

How exactly does he act unlike other people?
By making controversial statements and then plugging his ears and going NONONONO when people bring up contrary evidence.

As mentioned above, there are numerous pros with higher post counts.
Day9 had Idra fans declaring Idra won, there wasn't anywhere near the commotion Geoff gets lol

Well, there's nothing wrong with being opinionated and invested in the community... When you say something cool or smart, you'll get tons of support and when you say something stupid, you'll get a little flaming.
When you belittle another team, and then abrasively respond to someone speaking positively of that team, labeling them an "EG hater" despite their comments being moderate at worst, then you're obviously going to get called out, and when you attempt to further your point of my team is better, we would do better in korea even though we aren't going to korea with shoddy reasoning, you're putting yourself in a silly situation.

Well here is just ONE example. Let me repeat that it is just a single example but he does this kind of stuff all the time.
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=214795¤tpage=12
Let me also say that I read this thread when I had much more respect for him. When I read this thread I was surprised that anyone thought it was an acceptable way to behave here, especially with teammates. A thread that came up later with demuslim in it had no hint that it was ever a joke... in fact there was only more proof that it was a legitimate conversation when Incontrol responded "STFU plz" to someone who brought it up.

By engaging in a debate? What controversial statements has he made recently? I think he actually backs up his points quite well.

how are sheth and moonan better than incontrol, then? is that one result of incontrol so inflated that it's somehow an anti-result now and makes players like sheth and moonan more accomplished than he is? i don't get it.
