Ok, then everyone has gotten death threats. When someone loses a game against me it doesnt surprise me when they say something like "i'm gonna kill you" or "die of cancer", it happens. But that's just the internet being the internet, and i wouldnt call them death threats... I'm pretty sure the death/rape threats she's referencing were things she received in an e-mail, which is a little different from someone making a post about her. Someone posting "god she should just die" on a forum is pretty easy to ignore, but someone going out of their way to e-mail you is different. Her home and work address were both public at the time (since she was living at the GOM house), too, which makes the threats a little less empty. I'm not saying it's some huge deal, since it's most likely trolls just trying to scare her out of the job, but it's still not the same as someone saying "diaf" on a forum.

And somehow "Man this sucks" = "I hope you die in a fire so GSL will be good again" is your life? If your response to the "low quality" casting makes you post/email things that would get you arrested, you need to ajust how your repond to thing.

I'm just happy it's almost Tuesday again :D p.s. Want more Hot_Bid I agree! If Hot_Bid were to be on the show more often, State of the Game would be even better (who could have thought it could get better?).

Stop blowing people's comments out of proportion if you don't even understand them. He said the only thing wrong was the part about the "best of her ability" and that he thinks someone doing their best isn't necessarily acceptable if their "best" still isn't up to par with the league's standards. In no way shape or form is he condoning the threats or hate or sexism, if anything he's saying he's not okay with it.

I just don't understand how people get their jollies from doing obnoxious stuff like that. on topic: Hopefully Xsplit gets fixed/stabilized – It's kind of fun to see everyone's facial expressions.

"Bring X on!" "Bring Y on!" Just because someone is hilarious or the stuff of recent news - they're hardly ideal candidates for this show. Competence and insight must be the deciding factor in the selection of guests. Don't get me wrong, i love the fact that listening to SotG often brings many laughs, but does that make the show pure entertainment? Laughing at Geoff trolling Gretorp with a story on "the state of the bunker" is great, it's in line with the theme of the show. Guess my post becomes too unspecific without some examples. 2GD - a great entertainer no doubt but what insight would he bring? He's not really a representative of anything (Stunlock studios) SC2 related and his thoughts on the state of the game are likely limited to what he's currently casting. What would it take to make 2GD a good guest? Well, just have him announce something Dreamhack related, share some behind the scenes stories or do a themed show where you bring on guests with a non-broodwar background who are active in the scene or players and ask for their (outside) take on it. Kelly? If Kelly becomes the front face and main caster for that Chinese (Taiwanese?) star league, by all means, bring her on and let her enlighten us with inside info and a peak into a scene of which we know little. Don't let entertainment value determine the direction of the show. Let 'the state of the game' remain the lead theme of the show, not 'the state of the metagame'. Anyways, think this is my first post in the thread so don't want to sound too negative, will end on a positive note: Love the show, appreciate the efforts of guests to entertain listeners and big props for putting this whole show together. Also a huge shoutout to Geoff whom i must admit truly finds his right forum here - i was never a fan of his somewhat brusque approach but oneliners and forum posts don't give an accurate portrayal, when given a chance to voice his opinions he does so in a convincing way. I still disagree with him most of the time but who cares? I listen and i enjoy and accept that there are those of differing opinion - well represented indeed.

I just miss the in depth discussion of the matchups, what builds everyone is trying out, what interesting thing they saw someone else do. For me, that was why I listened to state of the game, and I just miss it. I'm going to keep watching, just because it's one of the few places to still get pro gamer insight, but I would really love it if it wasn't so focused on covering all of the latest news, and was more focused on the game itself. "SC Center" is a great show, just please don't turn State of the Game into a weekly version of it. On a side note: I'm also getting tired of not having a legitimate question every week, I love cocks and horses as much as the next guy, but the "what kind of soap do you use" questions are just getting old. And now that everyone thinks I'm just a grumpy pants, I'll just go back to my cave and let everyone go back to talking about the latest thing that iNcontroL shouldn't have said.

The show has gotten way too "SC center"-esque where you guys spend nearly the whole show talking about whatever the latest tournament results are, and Tyler is the only one who bothers to go into gameplay discussion beyond "good" or "bad" anymore. I think some of the issue is that since most of the participants only have time for or choose to watch a handful of tournament games a week, they end up discussing overall tourney results and not interesting or enlightening games in those tournaments, and their potential implications.

People in this community feel threatened by kelly because she is a young outgoing female. ESPORTS is not a place for women, its a place where socially inept and insecure young men can hide from the real world and obsess over their simple little game and avoid interaction with the oppopsite gender. When an outgoing, threatening woman enters this little male comfort zone, people feel confronted with the opposite sex and their own fear of interaction with females. That is why kelly gets hate. As a conscious, educated person i feel ashamed to be associated with a community that practice and celebrates sexism and hate against certain individuals.
