Because Artosis beat a bunch of people in the qualifiers and finished in the top 4? That's what I thought, anyway. Unless I'm getting my tournaments mixed up.

If this is that tournament, where is Silver?
It's not that tournament.
Yeah, that was the American leg.
Pardon me... There's an IEM World and an IEM America. They have different participants... though sometimes the same participants!!
The balance question cannot ever be argued because the "top" zergs have this weird two-fold argument where if there are a majority of terrans in a tournament, or in the top of a ladder, it is evidence of how imbalaned terran is. However when there is not a majority of terrans dominating, then it is because those terrans playing are actually bad.
IdrA and Artosis sadly does it all the time, it is a shame for their careers because if they are so good that they manage to do well against all these mediocre OP terrans, then imagine if they would just go for it and switch to terran. IdrA would be 500 wins to 0 losses in the ladders and win every single tournament.
Awsum to see two swedes in the tournament, and really hoping that madfrog can polish his play and surprise his group. Ty IdrA and Artosis for opinions.

Olympics athletes devote their WHOLE LIVES to a sport and in many ways live on a much, much harder regime than any "progamer" ever will.
Do you see them rage, not salute opponents or admit a good game by shaking hands even if they lose ? Oh, right, they get kicked off tournaments if they don't because they're taught respect, unlike brats with an ego problem thinking shitting on everyone else because "OP" is perfectly fine.
And anyways, nobody here would even be able to define what part of terran is "op".
In a sense it's "am losing to terran more so they're OP". Then following the casualtrain blizzard will nerf terrans making them effectively UNDERpowered. As a result terran players will legitimately switch to another race, start blasting your ass with it then you'll see threads "PROTOSS OP" or "ZERG OP" pop all around this place again...

This is really your argument? Lmao. Please don't pollute this thread with your 'well thought out' comparisons.

So basically you don't actually read the threads complaining about terran. You just hear that zergs are complaining and because you play Terran, you immediately bash them. Good representation right there.

His post made a lot more sense than yours did. You can't just take a very resasonable argument and say "That's your argument? Pffftttt" and go on as if you've actually countered it. You're the one polluting the thread.

that probably depends on the sport but for at least the period in which the progamer is playing i suspect this often isn't true
some pro gamers spend like 10h a day training I doubt there are many if any olympic events in which the althletes train 10h a day or even very close to it

Are you trying to troll us all? Athletes "train" the entire day, their whole life is set up to become teh best at what they do. Everything they do is to maximize their capabilities

10h/day Starcraft doesn't quite compare to sports that require great physical conditioning. Yes, Starcraft is mentally taxing but eh.. that comparison doesn't work. I could play chess for 10h without a problem, I'd get tired and probably be awful at the last few hours but at least I could keep doing it. I couldn't lift/run/exercise for 10h straight.
Not to mention nutrition and all the fun weight cutting etc. athletes have to worry about.
Every single person in this thread bashing idrA and Artosis for whining are being BM themselves. A respectable player would just say "idrA has his opinion and I have mine, and they just don't line up." Not that "idras a fucking baby". Idra very clearly knows what he believes and ppl hating on him for that are the whiners. A bunch of immature brats screaming on the forums is not gonna change idra as a person.
In my opinion (which clearly won't matter cause I'm a shitastic diamond player like everyone else) if you folks can't respect idra's view on the IEM groups, when the topic of the thread is "IDRA ON IEM" ....don't fucking watch the video. Or if you think you can do a better job, move to Korea... earn enough rep and get idrA to be on your show, since that's apparently no big deal.
As for imbalances... I believe most zerg just find it extremely hard to defend all of the possible things that Terran could do. They spend alot of resources early making sure their ass is covered and then simply get out produced by stronger units. As the game evolves new options will open up. But hey that's just my opinion. Now who wants to be badmannered and bash me for having an opinion? If you feel so compelled to run me down about my views... don't fucking read my post, cause I guarantee I won't give 2 shits about any of your responses.

We watched the video because we thought it was IdrA on IEM groups, not IdrA hating terran some more for 6 minutes
And i don't care if you don't care about my response, im still going to respond. Your entire post would be good if IdrA actually explained himself and talked some sense instead of just "bullshit terran you suck at this game your mother raised you wrong go kill yoruself"
IdrA BMs' the players, and hates everyone who plays a race in a game they like, why does he do that? What motivates him to personally insult players who beat him with a race he doesn't like? thats not his opinion, thats verbal attacks, different.

So it would just be Idra silently looking at the camera for 6 minutes. Artosis' first foray into art house
Made me laugh
Athletes CAN'T actively train for 10 hours a day. Their body wont take it. Their daily lives are structured around their sport but I wouldn't call eating vegetables more than the average person training. :p
To be honest though even Idra has admited that he feels SK practice TOO much. This is not an olympic event though. Comparisons and analogies are horrible to use on the internet because people will argue the analogy and not the point you are trying to make.
I think Artosis' comments are annoying. He reminds me of Donny Vermillion. I don't want his opinion of balance, I want him interviewing people who have opinions about it. Artosis looks like a very biast reporter... or caster... when he makes comments like this. Again though, I have no problem with Idra saying these things since he is the one being interviewed, it just gets old after every interview.
