Yeah the name is kinda a steal from Alternative Starcraft, but it makes sense for now.

Anyway, many people are currently unhappy with how Blizz has been changing things, such as removing tricks and nerfing units beyond belief. So, this is where my idea comes into play. The general idea is making a mod file in GE that can be applied to all maps with ease, this would allow for an alternative play, though without the ranking system and such (unless people want to keep track of it).

Currently I have a few changes I'm considering, however I know that there are countless other ideas on how to make sc2 better and more 'balanced' so I'd like the community's opinion on what I should add/change/etc.

Buff Roaches to make them more like tanking units
Change dark shrine to researched tech
Modify Marauders so they are more effective vs armored then they are against light

As you can see this list is currently very sparse and doesn't nearly have enough ideas that I could implement, so I'd like your opinions.Ideally by the end of every week I'll go through the topic and pick out 8 ideas posted and put them up in a poll for people to vote on. The top 3 will be implemented immediately while the next 2 will be saved to for the next pool, the rest will go into the ideas spoiler above and can be brought back if enough people ask for it. (This means there will be a total of 10 choices).

Allow tanks to overkill, so that manual target firing is rewarded.

Make mothership cloaked

Increase effect of adrenal glands (perhaps only slightly)

Change the nydus worm mechanic from spawning like a spell, to having the worm travel as a burrowed unit and being able to morph it into an entrance at a specified spot. Removing the need for creep. Edit: stupid me, the requirement was vision. With a traveling worm, vision will be an automatically fulfilled requirement.. sorry.

Blizzard is doing a fine job, the only people complaining non stop about all these things are lower levels that aren't properly dealing with it. Everyone moans about overkill but there is no overkill for ANY units in starcraft 2. Devs have already mentioned that there is no such thing as overkill, and that every unit changes targets once the one they were shooting is dead.

yeah, as the first post says, and many others, but you dindt include in the list

alow tanks to overkill, they would be just as deadly but that way you could actually outmicro the T and win a battle sometimes

yeah, Dimaga, Haypro, Idra, Artosis etc are low level players...

and yes, theres not overkill, this isnt a thread about what already-in-game function could solve the problem.

What a coincidence~ All Z users~
Yeah, we all know Z is unpowered right now. However, the game has to go through a lot of changes through patches during the game. I reckon there will be a buff soon.

Mean while guys spend your map making time elsewhere. People will like what Blizzard do the best since it will be the one where all tournament will use.

The idea of this mod isn't to balance everything to complete evenness, but to simply make the game more enjoyable to play adding cooler spells and such.
I remember someone saying that sc:bw is 'balanced' because each race has an OP unit. This is something that I want to achieve with this mod, making the game fun because each race has units that are 'OP', but it all evens out because of that.
Also I'd like to add some micro tricks back into the game, so any tricks that Blizz took out that you think should be put back in please inform me of them.
Can't stop me now.
