I understand the purpose, but there need sto be incentive other than, 'We have practice partners'.

and in reverse, what is the incentive of having a dime in a dozen masters player on their team? it applies to any concept of "joining" a team. If your play has merit then the team would have merit as well. Unless you win tournaments don't expect teams to shell out something special just for you to join.
