I downloaded the patch off the EU servers by editing the realmlist file.

I can connect to BNET just fine, but I can't join any games, custom or ladder.

Sometimes it just gives me the "you are already in a matchmaking queue" - even though I just opened up SC2.

Other times I click on find a game and it never finds one.

Is there a way I can force SC2 to redownload the patch?

Alright guys, I've found out that after joining a friends game via invite I can now host my own games! So add me as friend(SLinGGD 658), message me your id number(found when you click add friend) and then I can invite you to my game so that you can host your own games!

EDIT: SWEET JESUS STOP SPAMMING ME PEOPLE OHH GOD.

Also, I've tried it with 2+ other people and it seems it isn't working. Sorry for false alarm =( Dunno why it worked for me.

The purpose of a beta is to work these bugs out so that when we are paying for the finished product it works properly. We all just waited a month, another day or two for them to work out the bugs isn't a big deal. Once it's all running we'll have uninterrupted SC2 for the rest of our lives, virtually.

Pretty sure that isn't a problem with the patch, but with the buggy servers.

yeah. because they completely failed at launching the closed beta ONLY 20 days before release.

and saying technical issues is pretty underwhelming. Its 100% unplayable. They have 20 days to not only fix this, but to be 100% certain that it wont happen again, cause it would be infinately worse if this was going on july 27th

This. It doesn't matter, Blizzard can't keep up, but we keep buying their products anyway. It's brand loyalty to the max.

Don't know quite how to respond to that, the post very clearly states that the 'servers' (plural) should be up. EU is certainly still down though.

You guys do know that the game has probably already gone gold or close to it.... It's not like they can just fix everything a day before release and then have millions of disc made that day. Sure, they can patch it, but as far as the disc goes its basically already done I'm assuming.

Anyway, I seem to be the only one not having issues. I played three games last night but still haven't got placed although it said I had two placement games remaining. Now it says I have -1 placement games remaining.

hey guys i dunno if it was just a time passing thing but i can play customs vs people now, where as before i couldnt. the final changing factor that got it working for me (not sure if it was really this or not) was restarting my router and i got a new ip address. so if your on a static ip adress that changes once you restart the connection try that and see if it works. however still get the "you are in queu" for 1v1 find matches. hope this helps some of u sc2 junkies craving for your hit =P

Meh I think once they realised the problems they're having with the US server, they're not gonna launche the other two without figuring a fix to it wich is horrible sad because I'm sure the half of us EU that does get to play would be grateful : <
