I haven't been able to start a game all afternoon, but I've found a fix.

Delete the Cache folder in your My Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Maps\ folder. This has worked for me and 2 of my friends. Afterwards we were all able to host and join custom games.

Hopefully this can help guy guys.

Did fungal growth work on mutalisks before? I thought it did... I just played a game and tried to use about 5 fungal growths on mutalisks and it didn't work.

It worked for me, try moving the cache folder to your desktop if you want. However it may just be a coincidence if these other guys are now able to start customs.

Reading that a number of people are suddenly able to play reasonably properly, can this be confirmed?

Hoping this would mean the EU servers won't be too long, hopefully when they do come though we won't go through the hassle you guys across the Atlantic did..

It has solved problems in the past. And how is this trolling? ANything thats in the cache folder will be downloaded within minutes the moment you connect to Battle.Net you don't lose anything from doing it.

Sadly it did not work for me. Sorry to call you a troll but the 1 post thing always makes me suspicious of posts like this, especially when deleting files is invloved.

Deleting the cache folder is the first thing blizzard suggests when you have a problem with wow.... someone suggesting it might help with sc2 isn't trolling. It was the first thing my mate suggested when I couldn't get the game working.

It might actually fix a few problems.... sadly it won't fix them all.

I've been trying to play since ~10:30pm EST, haven't gotten anything to work until I JUST NOW got 2 games in a row trying the 1v1 placements. Hopefully things are getting better and I wasn't just lucky, I'm queue'd for 2v2c right now and not getting anything
