The clean install of the beta doesn't create a realmlist.stf file so I'm going to assume that it was added in a later patch. What you can do is manually install up to patch 8, then use the .stf work around and the launcher should start up.
Let me know if there are any problems =)

-Ultralisk Removed -Replaced with Lurker (I'd probably switch to zerg if this were true lol) I doubt it is though. -Archon attack animation changed (want Grubby vs, Garimto in korea)

Yeah the manual update is a little tedious, but at least you don't have to patch beyond number 8

ty so much , im downloading patch now hope beta is up soon

I would just wait for the US patch servers to come. So you install the EU patch on the US version, who knows what kind of problems could arise. There could be a reason Blizzard has separate patch versions other than simply for distribution. . .
And it's not even 9AM on the west coast yet.

for those that have errors updating at 77% or w/e try going into the support folder and run repair.exe
|
Hmm, i got The patch "pc-battlenet-hdfiles\Support\Battle.net.dll" could not be applied. (CRC mismatch: expected 0x53ebcf3b, actual 0xa7f5ef92.)(PTCApply_BSDiff failed.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (BNUpdate: TCApply)
Tried rebooting, but that did not help.
Edit: Repair.exe did not help, just says it cant find correct information, reinstall game.

My download has stopped at 65 % for the big new patch.. can I cancel and try to re-download from where I left off or will it start from the very beginning? With the old downloader you could easily close it and reopen from where you stopped...

For anyone interested I just went ahead and closed it... then I had to wait a moment before it could restart and it continued where it left off with good speeds again! So just restart the downloader if it stops

on Win 7 it saves the file as .txt by default, even though you write Realmlist.stf you open/create the file realmlist and choose "save as". And then write Realmlist.stf, but choose "All Files" in the "Save as type" dropdown
then it will be saved as a .stf file and not realmlist.stf.txt file

My patch stops at 71% mismatch and I can't run the repair because it can't find correct information.

Blizzard Updater was unable to read the file "Mods\Liberty.SC2Mod\Base.SC2Assets\Assets\Textures\shieldcube.dds". This error may be caused by problems with the media or drive at <unknown>--for example, a scratched or dirty CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, hard drive corruption, or a networking problem while downloading the update. (The error code was 0.) : DecompressJob::Execute()
I had this problem, I just try again and it work.

Let me know if you know a fix.. I am trying to manually patch the game from PATCH 0 (Beta installer). I put the patch files in the "Updates" folder, then ran Starcraft, it doesn't work. If I try to run StarCraft II Beta\Support\Blizzard Updater.exe it says " There is no patch file to apply."
