APM extremes in BW really didn't mean that much because afaik there was never a standardized interval to calculate APM over (aside from the whole game, but I guarantee he didn't maintain that over a whole game). | ||

[edit] For that matter, if you're going to drop $120 on a headset you might as well drop another $20-40 and get the Sennheiser PC350s (~$120 on amazon atm, $160 normally). Pretty sure that mouse will end up being worse than a Deathadder too. [edit2] Some of the earlier discussion on mouse DPI has confused me. My understanding was that DPI is a measurement of, basically, how many counts a mouse will return over an inch of movement. Increased DPI/CPI will thus result (it sounds like) in increased accuracy for extremely small movements, increased accuracy in stopping the mouse - in both cases, it also sounds like the impact will scale with how far your given sensitivity is from a 1-1 match between pixels and counts. This does not seem to be the opinion of others here, though, so what did I get wrong? | ||

You're forgetting that your mouse having increased sensitivity doesn't improve your hand eye coordination. Meaning, even if your mouse can detect atom-level shifts, your hand's not going to have that kind of accuracy. I'm half asleep mind you, so if that's not coherent, sorry. But yeah, dpi's not the limiting factor anymore at that level, you just can't put that high dpi to use anymore because you can't move your hand at with enough accuracy for it to make a difference. | ||

i hoped they would really speak with some rts gamer and over something as simple but high quality as the steelseries g7.... well maybe i now really buy the filco one. i really like razer but i wont spent 120bucks for some non mechanical peace of plastic with shiny lights and shit... for anyone who conciders buying a new mouse i can only recoment the razer imperator! best purchase i made in a long time! | ||
