I am really curious about how Blizzard will react because the uproar was so big. Not only on TL but on b.net forums and all other forums, too. That means they now know what the community want and it is time see if they care or not.

No. I'm pretty sure that's not against the TOS or EULA, but you'd be subject to the terms of the EULA for the region in which you're playing.

Single Player was cracked like a week after the beta started and some parties apparently already have a working bnet emulator.

WoW has some private servers that have been running for ages, no doubt SC2 will have some as well but it will take its time.

If they cracked the beta in 1-2 weeks for maphacks and drophacks, I'm sure they can handle SP or MP with servers. The servers just need to be somewhere where Blizz can't reach them, like Russia or the like.
Don't expect cracked MP in two to 4 weeks, but after a few months definitely.

The only way Activision/Blizzard will do anything is if we target their sales. In other words, everyone should be cancelling their pre-order.

As other people said, B.Net has already been cracked. In other words, Blizzard has failed already. You wanted to protect this bad boy with DRM and all that jazz? Well guess what, the good hackers get more enjoyment tackling stuff like that. ._.

Either way, private servers will come online and if they don't make it optimal. Easy. We just take our shit elsewhere.

I wouldn't worry too much about the whole chat room thing, I'm sure it will be implemented sooner or later since the majority of players seems to want it. As for me, I'm not really that bothered, I would probably not use it anyways (never used it in D2 or SC).
