In the current condition, there is little incentive for coaches to actively find trainees. If you want coaching, take some initiative. I will try to address this problem in an improved thread.

Hot Bid closed the last thread due to people bickering. Arguments were centered around uninformed Trainee's being taken advantage of. I have compiled a list of safeguards for beginners. Included are the things I agree with. If you have any serious disagreements or would like to add, please PM me before you respond.
Beginner Trainer's guide
+ Show Spoiler +Just my two cents on the training issue: I don't really think people should be paying for lessons at this point in the beta. Wait until the game has established itself for a bit, first. The only real benefit of "gosu" training sessions, IMO, is that you get to make connections with the top players, and thus have better practice partners who might be willing to discuss strategies and practice timings.-Saracen. Good mechanics is what makes the difference between being copper and being platinum. Of course build orders and strategies play an important role, but if you have solid mechanics you can easily stay at the platinum level regardless of how much they tweak the units. So teaching a copper player how to macro/micro/scout properly and whatnot and giving them the general unit counters can easily bring them up to gold or platinum. - Kantutan Being a good player is often correlated with being a good coach. However, there are also players with experience in teaching (Gosucoaching). People with experience teaching will probably be much better than those without. Remember those with reputations have more at stake than those without. - paraphrased Louder There are many free resources to learn how to play. If you spend a lot of time practicing, watching replays, reading threads, discussing strategy, most likely you will eventually understand how to play this game. It doesn't make very much sense why a coach would actively look for someone to coach, given that there is no listed compensation. Likely everyone assumes that nobody is willing to pay anything.
Beginners likely expect that coaches will demand an exorbitant fee. All of the recent argument about how "nobody should pay for help with a video game" probably didn't help.
The result is that nobody talks to each other when in fact there are probably many coaches willing to help for little to no compensation and many beginners who desperately want help.
The fact that the thread usually isn't at the top of the forum page makes it harder for people to find the information.

I'd like to create a new (better organized) thread, with only coaches posting their information. They will post their fee, which will be a proxy for their opportunity cost. Being able to compare their fees with other coaches will ensure that the fees are a good proxy.

Use the status to control how many/little PM's you get. It's not for telling us what your education level is lol.
I'm curious of how many people are communicating - Does non disclosure of price lead trainees to expect an exorbitant price? Does it lead all trainers into believing all trainees are unwilling to pay anything? Will people start flaming if fees are listed? or will they just post their own info and a lower fee? The latter is what I'm after, and will probably pressure prices to 0, with only the best and most well known trainers being able to charge anything.
The whole point of the fees were to induce trainers into being more willing to spend time with noobies they don't know.

You had the least organized listing too :-\.
Ideally you'd ask for fee in exchange for your time. The people who want your help the most will pay, and the rest will search for a slightly less suitable but cheaper (free) trainer, and so on.
My guess is that you got many PM's because there are limited euro trainers and you specifically posted free lessons.
This is not ideal - i think there are many people willing to help who haven't received any pm's.

You guys aren't annoying, it's just a little too overwhelming at this point  . I'm happy that this is so popular, since one kid from bronze said my advice helped him very much on B.net it's just hard to keep track of everything and everyone. I wasn't expecting so many applications and subsequently wasn't prepared xD, but I'll try to help everyone that PMed me. Already answered 5-6 PMs and now all that is left is to talk strategy, give tips and play.

Please remember that coach's currently have very little incentive to PM trainees

Edit: I was advising trainees to actively look for a coach, as coaches will not actively look for them.
Sending one PM is not harrassing, as Latham noted above.
